Regular <br /> and <br /> egular- <br /> and Executive Sessions . seconded by Chin. Garland.- This i -a unanimous vote. <br /> NEW BUSINESS : • <br /> 1. n the memo from Police Chief Frye relative to the appointment. of <br /> Philip Green as a special Police officer, Executive Secretary explained <br /> that the appointment had leen signed- with the' annual appointments <br /> however this being a new appointment of the Board, it should of been <br /> clone se eratel , Motion by Set. Hanson to confirm the appointment <br /> o'f Ph flip Green . as- a special Police officer. Seconded by Chm, - Garl,and. <br /> Motion passed. Chm. Garland asked if we had received all the necessary <br /> documentations. Executive Secretary stated that they are all here. <br /> . The lettere from the superintendent of streets regarding a waiver- of <br /> the six month period- for .benefit - purposes for Nancy Canata, his <br /> Administrative secretary was approved. . Motion- day . Sel, Hanson to waive <br /> the probation period for benefit purposes for Nancy Canata, Administra- <br /> tive Secretary'. to the Highway Department, Seconded by Chat. Garland. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> . Board reviewed the memorandum from' Sgt. Gonsalves of the Police <br /> Department relative to- his- request to close the south bound. tratffic <br /> from New Seal ury to the,,.Rotary on July 24 , 1983 and- directing. the <br /> traffic to Red Brook Road for approximately two hours.,so that the <br /> Leukemia Run can take place. After the Board discussed the traffic <br /> problems f last year regarding this matter- and the time involved <br /> the Board decided to a rove the request.
