Executive Secretary expltai,ned that the Mashpee Lions- Club .were hosting <br /> a circus on July 13-14, 1983 at Dick & Ellie 's Lot, withou t a permit. <br /> He stated that Mr. William Mills was notified and an application had <br /> been submitted. Board reviewed the license which states that the <br /> permit is -granted. subject to- the following conditions,: issuance of <br /> teat permit by the. Building Inspector; approval of the Board of Health <br /> for food concessions;. approvl of public safety plans by Fire Chief <br /> and Police Chief. .Board approved. <br /> 2. Executive -Secretary discussed with the Board. the problem of parking <br /> at South -Cape Beach. - e recommended- that only residents f Mashpee <br /> be allowed to use the Town parking., lot and the beach. Discussion <br /> -continued ori' the 'problems that. occurred over the. 4th of July weekend, <br /> what would happen to the revenue if the Board . concurred with this <br /> request. Chit. Garland stated- that he was at the beach over the <br /> weekend and it was a disastor. Sel. Terror was also present at the <br /> beach and he questioned the time involved in which residents have <br /> to be at the beach before the parking spaces are sola to non-residents . <br /> He would like to see the time moved UP to later. Sel. - Hanson feels <br /> that the' beach. should probably only be open to non-residents for this <br /> year .in order to get more revenue -and. allow the Town to have a beach <br /> house when the State gives the Town their new beach. Executive Secretary to notify the Recreation <br /> Director of. their decision and to inform her that the time restriction <br /> of residents only should be changed from- 11 : 30 a.m. to later.
