y <br /> I - <br /> Page <br /> . secretary stated that he could not attend because of prior commitment <br /> and asked if any of the Selectmen could attend. Chm, Garland said <br /> that he could- not., sel. Hanson said that he would try to attend aid <br /> much depended on the time. that the meeting is scheduled for. Mr.. <br /> Murphy will inquire. Mr. Ernest Virgilio will be attending. <br /> . Executive secretary explained- the' problems the Town is having with <br /> the concession bidders -at South Cape- Beach. He said that here <br /> were three bidders . The highest bidder was awarded- the contract- <br /> and paid his first to per cent than back- down.. The se ondbidd er- <br /> had already made other commitments and the third bidder had not,- been <br /> recommended by the recreation Director as -he had the contract the <br /> previous year and did not lige up to- the specifications . This year <br /> the vendor will be going from south Cape Beach to Cotuit Beach. <br /> 7 . Chm. Garland asked Chief H rtin .w t the Mate fire responsibility, <br /> was on south Cape -Beach. Chief Hartin 'stated that for this year <br /> their .assistance . is delayed and they will only be providing coverage <br /> for the Town if they - are called out to south Cape -Head. <br /> 7 :00 p.MO - Fire Chief HarLtin came to discuss with the Board the Goal <br /> of the Mashpee.- Fire Department for fiscal year 1984 . (report <br /> attached) .. <br /> Mr. Arthur McNulty discussed the W lking 'Trail'. and how the Senior Citizens <br /> would like to have it completed. He also mentioned that - if we could get <br /> it done now .it would be the- first on the Eastern Coast. He was informed <br /> that it is up to the Superintendent of Streets and rightno he is busy <br /> with oiling of streets . Mr. McNulty said that he was asked to say that <br /> they would life it finished as soon as possible . He- also wanted to know <br /> why their meetings are not advertised. He was informed that a, notice <br /> should be given to the Town. Clerk . He said one would be sent a week ahead <br /> f the meetings so- that it- can be posted. <br /> Only two members ,- Mr. Frank Homeyer and Mr. McNulty were present from the <br /> Housing Authority. -Mr. Homeyer said that he +had- been. told that they- were <br /> to meet-'.with the Board a 7: 00 p,m-,, He. also said that the meeting would of <br /> pertained to land owned by the Town that could' be given to then for housing <br /> for elder citizens . Board -asked Mr, Homeyer to notify the Housing Authority <br /> to get the plans on paper and the descriptions of the property that they <br /> are talking about and than an other meeting would be set up to discuss this <br /> ratter. Town Counsel said that he would have to check- the lave and even <br /> though they have eminent domain powers , this. this nay require Town Meeting <br /> approval for action to transfer the control of the lana for bonding purposes , <br /> Board thanked Mr. Homeyer for corning. <br /> Chm. Garland asked if there was any other business . <br /> Motion by Sel. Hanson to adjourn. It was seconded.
