Garland. This is a vote. NEW BUSINESS: 1, ) Chin. Garland said that the Board had received a letter from Mr., E. Stuart Peoples wanting to be considered for the vacancy on - the Conservation Commission. The vacancy has been open since June . Executive Secretary said that the vacancy has been announced and posted. Mr. Peoples was the onl.y one ' ho has shown an interest. Chm. Garland said that Mr. Peoples is the Executive Director of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Cape Cod and Islands , he i a -Mashpee resident and he is interested in environmental and conservation issues . Sel. Hansom suggested that Mr. Peoples -�be invited to next week's meeting as he would like to meet him. . - Executive Secretary is to send Mr. Peoples a letter inviting -him to next week' s moeting. 2. ) Executive Secretary explained the memo from the Board of Health relative to food permits , The Board of Health is requesting that the Selectmen do not .issue a one day liquor permit until the individuals have obtained a food permit. Mr. Murphy explained that a few weeks ago such a liquor license had been issued to the Wampanoag Gun and Rod Club. They were asked t get a food permit or their one day license would be -invalid. They did not get the - food permit. Chm. Garland asked if perhaps - t one time a food permit had been issued and the Club might think that it was valid. Executive Secretary is to find- out. Board did concur with the Board of Health's 'request. APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS Chief G.rey Wolf Moran arrived at 6 :14 p.m. His appointment was for m. 6 :14 .m.' - Executive -Secretary explained -that the Chief came -to discuss the grant application that ha-s to be signed by the Selectmen for the renovation of the old Town Hall .S .o. building) on Route 130 . Chin. - Garland said that the Board had received. a number of petitions and questions regarding fees . He said many asso- ciations are raising questions for this reason the Selectmen .have decided to ' hold public hearing in' the cafeteria on octob'er 12 , 1983 at' 7: 30 p.m, Executive -Secretary said that the hearing was not only to Ileal with the application, but this would give everyone a chance to express their thoughts as to what should be. -done with that building.
