Brown the representative from the Telephone - Company <br /> stated that this hearing was necessary as their last <br /> petition did not include these two manholes . He also asked <br /> to he excused- if there was no other business -pertaining to <br /> the Telephone Company. Board thanked Mr. Brown for- coming- <br /> 6 : 30 <br /> or- coming-t3o p.m. - Ernest Virgilio, S-uperintendent of Streets cane to discuss <br /> with the Board his plans for the intersection of Iinigret <br /> Ave . and Route 151. . He showed layouts. of his plans . Mr . <br /> Virgilio stated. that the layout of the road is loo feet <br /> but the width of the road is only 24 feet, He hopes to <br /> widen the road to a four lane highway with an island ' in the <br /> middle . He is concern6d about the growth in the area and <br /> the safety. He is having problems with businesses using <br /> town property as their own . He hopes to accomplish the <br /> following ,-, four lane highway with island in - the middle, <br /> speci fic turn arounds , lower the speed limits , sidewalk <br /> and bike path on Route 151 , 130 and Central Road. He stated <br /> that all the clearing can be clone with his personnel and under <br /> his budget . This project would take about seven years to <br /> accomplish , but he hopes to start -clearing this winter and <br /> spring. Mr. Virgilio stated that once the area isleared <br /> and they are ready for paving Chapter 90 moni-es could be <br /> used. He is also going t-o- request that utilities ..be, put under <br /> around and he - hopes bouse aluminum poles for lighting. <br /> He, asked if the Selectmen- had any questions . Sel .
