Garland recommended that this. be deferred and that the <br /> Executive Secretary .obtain from the Building Inspector a written <br /> summary of his recollection on this matter. Be also wants a <br /> copy of the. Board of Appeals minutes and a summary .of their <br /> recollection of what happened. 1.. Hanson, asked if 'down Counsel <br /> should look at this letter. Mr. Murphy said that this would <br /> involve a cost to the town and that if the money was refunded <br /> it could. open the town to clot of problems. Chm. Garland- is <br /> bothered that' there might be something here that the Board <br /> cannot see. Sel. Hanson said that this will be pursued. <br /> . Chm. Garland said that he granted to discuss Dick and Ellie' <br /> flea market. He stated that on the basis of information and <br /> the plot plan that they submitted to. the town the flea 'market <br /> is suppose to be behind -the fence. In the past three weeps <br /> the flea market has- <br /> - been outside the- fence and he is afraid <br /> that an accident could result. with. cars parking right on <br /> Route '28, Chm-. Garland said that they are in violation of <br /> i thein permit. Board decided. to have 'the Executive secretary <br /> send a letter to Mr. - and- Mrs. �dasi 1 informing there of the <br /> violation and that they be instructed .that the flea market <br /> ,is to be held behind the fence as provided by their plot <br /> plan. A copy of the letter is to be sent to the Police <br /> Chief. Executive Secretary asked if the- Board wanted the <br /> District 7, Department of Public- Forks notified as Route <br /> 28 is their road. Chm. Garland said that this was advisable. <br /> . C m. Garland explained that the Board. had received letter from <br /> - Doctor Lloyd Bremer who is the Medical Director of the Cape and <br /> Islands Emergency Medical services System, Inc. regarding -road <br /> races, marathons and tria.thalon . Dr. Bremer- is very concerned <br /> about the safety aspect and he suggests that , such events not - be <br /> scheduled during the Barnstable' Fair s the police and rescue <br /> units are already overtaxed at that time, Dr. - Bremer .also feels <br /> that the sponsors should get the sanction 6f- the fire and police <br /> before the events and in cases. of triathalons the Coast Guard also. <br /> Further .Dr. Bremer recommends that i f. the temperature is .84 degrees <br /> or over at the time of the . race it be cancelled because of the <br /> risk to the participants . Chm. Garland said that he would personally <br /> respond to Dr. Brener. el'. Danson said that a copy of the letter <br /> should be seat to Mr. Jeff Moore. at Bobber Byrne-s Pub as they sponsor <br /> a road race every year. <br /> . Ginn. Garland- asked Ms , Jane Peterson if she had any idea why <br /> the- Popponessetsoeiatior' -had seat a .notice to the Board informing <br /> in <br /> thea that the roads are private roads . He asked if she was aware <br /> of this. Ms. Peterson said she did not know. <br /> . Chm. Garland recognized.- Mr, Edward Mitchell , Manager of the Wigwam. <br /> Mr. Mitchell said- that he would like to discuss his hours of opera. <br /> tion. <br />
