Garland presented to Mrs. Virginia' Landry the first <br /> certificate of ap r ciation for her work in- designing the <br /> the plaque of the Town Seal which was given to the Town by <br /> Angelo' s Supermarket. <br /> .Board returned, to new business <br /> . Motion by sel. Hanson and seconded by sel.. Terry to appoint Ms. Ellen <br /> cheurer as secretary to the Growth Review Conunittee and Ms, Anne <br /> McGee as - Secretary -to the Design Review Committee. Motion Carried. <br /> - . On the letter from the Popponesst Association relative to signs <br /> giving directions into Popponesset the Executive Secretary asked that <br /> the Board defer any action. at this time as he feels . something is being <br /> done about this and that the problems have been resolved. <br /> . Board approved the permit of Hayden- Building Movers to move two <br /> buildings from Maushop village to the Barnstable Town Line. The fee <br /> is $25. 00 per building and they must notify the Police Chief and the <br /> Fire Department. -They , must also. pay for the extra police detail assigned <br /> this duty. <br /> 7. Motion by Sel. Terror to approve a permit for the Mashpee. memorial Post- <br /> VFW to have a one day liquor license for November x ber -, 1983 from 2 : 00 p.m,, <br /> to- : 00 p.m, at the Senior Center pending .the acquiring of a food permit <br /> from the Board of Health. seconded- by sel. Hanson. Chm. Garland said <br /> that he is not in favor of issuing a liquor license in any public <br /> building. sel. Hanson asked what the past policy was. Discussion <br /> continued. Sel. Hansom said he sees no problems. Chat, Garland opposed. <br /> Note as follows: sel. Terry - I . Sel. Hansom - I. Chm. Garland No. <br /> Two in favor. Motion Carried. <br /> . Chm. Garland referred to ' his memorandum to the Board relative to lard <br /> beautification. He has .asked the Architectural review Committee to look <br /> into the' this matter from' the blashpee Rotary .to the Falmouth Line on <br /> Route 28.. He would like to have that Committee. contact the owners and <br /> see if they can do something. - el. n on stated that he will try to <br /> get both groups together the Mashpee Businessmen' s Association and the <br /> Architectural Committee, Chm-. Garland also said- that he has asked the <br /> Superintendent o f Streets to mark the layout on Route. 28. This has been <br /> done. Board discussed the issue of Dick and Ellie ' s flea market. <br /> Executive Secretary suggested this be deferred until December- 1, 19830- <br /> Board <br /> 983.Board concurred. <br /> 9. Board was informed that the appointments for-.-interviews with the Assistant <br /> Building- Inspectors was scheduled for Tuesday, Iverber -, 19839 <br /> 10. Board asked Mr. Murphy to refer Mr. Mosley' s name to the Committees <br /> and Departments involved with bicycle paths . <br /> 11. Chm. Garland referred to the expenditures of the Recreation Director <br /> regarding the Walking Trails. Board asked Executive secretary to inform <br /> the Director that there should be no more expenditures on that- project. <br />
