Page NEW BUSINESS CONTINUED: . Board reviewed the applications and recommendations of the Personnel .Board for a nior Clerk for the Building Inspector' s office. Board a§ked Executive Secretary if the Building Inspector had given his suggestion end recommendation. Mr. Murphy said that Mr. Collins is satisfied with Cherry. Hawvr. Motion, by Sel. Terry to appoint h rr•yl Hawver as the Senior Clerk. in the Building Inspector' s office. Seconded by Acting Chairman Hanson. This is a vote. Acting Chairman Hanson asked if there was any other business to be brought before the Board. Mrs.. B. - Jean Thomas asked to be recognized and said that she would -11k to speak t the Board and the Executive Secretary about the progres-s of the Vater Advisory Committee. She said that she is very' concerned that the Committee has progressed but that they are not knowledgeable enough and that they would like to -sit down with people ,who know. She stated that the Committee does not know' which direction Lt should be going. They should have alternatives. Acting Chairman Hanson asked Mrs. Thomas if the committee had searched out from other communities. Mrs . Thomas said . that' the Committee as a whole had only net once. She said she just wanted the Board to know her feelingg and asked that they think about this matter. Sel. Hanson asked how many peo7ple were on the committee and if the problem was with the Committee. Mrs, Tho s ' said - that they had done some things and., that it was progressing but very slowly and Sel. Terry said that he feels the Committee' needs person who knows what they should d next. Town Counsel said that -Mrs. Thomas should get intouch with Scott Horsley and Mr. Robes fr m-the Cape Cod Planning & Economic Development Commission. He said that if they were requested they would be willing to help. Town Counsel also said that the Association for the Preservation of Cape Cod had experts that would be willing. to help. Executive Secretary suggested that perhaps the Committee. should come to the Selectmen' s meeting to help re-charge the Committee. Mr. Buckingham 'will be contacted to see if- he would like- to have committee meet with Selectmen and he will also be invited to attend -the Growth Review -meeting of November 30, 1983, Sel. Terry said that the Committee needs to have reviewed interest. Acting Chairman Manson asked if there was anything else. Motion- by Sel. Terry to adjourn.
