. + J <br /> BOARDOF-SELECTMEN MEETING. <br /> November 30 , 1983 <br /> PRESENT : Chairman Chester A. Garland, Selectmen Wil-lard L. Hanson and Richard <br /> L. Terry. Executive Secretary was absent as he was on vacation. <br /> GUESTS : Mr. Earl Wallace Of Angelo' s supermarkets, Ms. Jane Peterson, Mrs. <br /> B. Jean Thomas and the reporter from the Enterprise. <br /> Chairman Garland convened the meeting at p.m,, <br /> Chm. Garland went directly, to appointments and hearings as Mr. Wallace had <br /> to leave for an other appointment,-, <br /> p,m, - Board presented Mr. Wallace with a certificate of appreciation <br /> for all Angelo' s supermarket has done for the town. Mr. Wallace <br /> thanked the Board and said i t would be hung in the store. <br /> Chm. Garland said the next thing on the agenda was the approval of the <br /> minutes of November 23, 1983 . <br /> Motion by Sel. 'ferry to approve the minutes of the regular Meeting of November <br /> 2 , 1983 as written. seconded by Sel. Hanson-. Motion Carried. <br /> As Mr. Paul Woods was not present for his appointment Chm. Garland went to <br /> old business* <br /> CLD BUSINESS : <br /> 1. On the memorandum from the Executive secretary relative to' the status <br /> of the Water Quality Advisory Committee, Chit. Garland said that he <br /> felt this was more of an informational memo from the Executive Secretary. <br /> Chert. Garland said that the Executive Secretary had met with Mr. Buckingham <br /> and the committee will be holding a meeting with Mr. Charles Rowley in <br /> the next couple of weeks to determine the cost of halving hire prepare a <br /> plan for a proposed well-field recharge area that can be used for a <br /> town meeting article. Committee is also waiting to hear from Town Counsel <br /> on the utter of the land to be. .us-ed-'.fr test wells . The dommittee <br /> is also waiting to hear whether it can use funds appropriated "to pay <br /> Mr. fowler for preparation of a plan for the recharge area. <br /> 51 ) Under new business. <br /> el. Terry said that while the B-oard� is discussing this committee , he <br /> would like to refer to Mrs, B, Jean Thomas ' s re s i gna tion from the <br /> Water Quality Advisory Committee. Board accepted her resignation with <br /> regrets. <br /> NEW BUSINESS : <br /> 1. n the request from the Board of Health regarding Mr. Galvin and <br /> Grenadier Lame at the corner of Cambridge Drive, Chm. Garland explained <br /> that he and the Superintendent af Streets had' gone. and checked out the <br /> situation and that the ' pool that was referred to by Mr. Calvin is on <br /> his property. Chat. Garland said he feels the problem is, between Mr. Calvin <br /> and the developer. Chairman Garland, gill respond to the Board of Health* <br /> 2. On the memorandum from the Town Accountant and the Executive Secretary <br /> relative to ter-porary repair to private roads and private betterments <br />
