Blethen informing the Board of their new <br /> piano bar winter hours, the Board- decided to hold this until the. <br /> Executive Secretary finishes his policy on liquor licenses and <br /> shutting down. <br /> . on the memorandum from the Executive Secretary relative to the- five <br /> town solid waste meeting that- he is to attend on Friday, the Board <br /> recommended that he vote on the ffi rm tive to continue to . look into <br /> the matter. Chm. Garland felt that the operation of such a plant should <br /> be -a 'public -en' terprise rather than a municipal enterprise, <br /> . The Board reviewed the copy of . a letter, seat to Police Chief Frye <br /> on the resignation of officer Jeremy Carter. The Board expressed <br /> their regrets at ' his leaving and- congratulated Mr. Carter for passing <br /> the bar. An appropriate letter, is to' be forwarded to Nor. Carter. <br /> . The Board. ap proved all the renewals on the year round liquor licenses, <br /> accept for two. The Barn did not get approved as they have not paid <br /> thein personal property tax and Carl ' s as by. l-aw the renewal affidavits <br /> were to be submitted ,in November and they were only received today. <br /> The Board will approve- the Barn' s, renewel if. the taxes are paid before <br /> December 31 , 1983. A new public hearing is needed for Carl' s. <br /> 7. Motion by Sel . -Hanson to appoint Anne Lange rin as. board secretary. <br /> Seconded by Sel. Terry, motion Carried. <br /> . Board reviewed the letter - from Mr. = Leonard F. Beford regarding the <br /> sale of the site of the old town hall.. Board recommended a -Letter <br /> be sent to fir. Beford that the torn has no -intention. of selling <br /> the land. <br /> , on the memo from 'the Personnel Board regarding the fifteen mile <br /> residency requirement the Board decided to set up a meeting with <br /> i <br /> the- Personnel Board to discuss this matter. <br /> i <br /> Chm'. Garland asked if there was any other-old or new business to brought <br /> tip to the Board. <br /> Executive Secretary said that he had one other thing. The application <br /> for renovations to the old U.S .O. bullding has been rade ready for the <br /> Board ' s approval . All the changes. required by Town Counsel have been <br /> made. Mr. -Murphy explained that the deadline is December. 21 and that <br /> th'ere is also a deadline in March but the date has not been established <br />
