M- <br /> s� <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27, 1984 <br /> PRESENT: Chairman Hanson, Selectman Thomas, Selectman Terror, Executive <br /> SecretaryJoseph F. Nrphy and Town CoselJoseph J. Reardon. <br /> GUESTS: Arlene Hoxie Mr, & Mrs, Ahti Lans, Mr. Kobl insky, Mr. Sullivan, <br /> Nor. Kuuel , Robert Tallent, Delores Kong, Vernon Thomas and <br /> Ernestirgil io. <br /> 7:00 .m. Selectman Terry convened the meeting of June 27, 1984. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to approve the minutes of June 2 , 198+ Regular <br /> Meeting and Adn ini trative Meeting of June 19, 1984. Selectman Terry <br /> seconded. Motion carried. <br /> HEARINGS AND APPOINTMENT <br /> 7:00 - Selectman Terry read the publication in the Falmouth Enterprise <br /> regarding a hearing for Richard S. Kuusela and Francis J. Sullivan. <br /> Mr., Iuusela explained to the Board that he would like permission <br /> to float sixteen rafts with a-total of 500,000 r rm seed <br /> contained therein. The rafts will be located on hisshellfish <br /> grant. He also pointed out that he has had verbal permission <br /> in the past from Mr. I obl insky to do same. Mr. I uus ela also <br /> stated that- this would be the last year he would do this. <br /> Mr. Sul l i ran explained to the Board that he Is looking for <br /> permission to float his twelve rafts that are currently <br /> submerged if needed in an emrgeno r. He also is looking for <br /> permission for-one-year. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to take this matter under advisement so <br /> that a mutual agreement on conditions could be dram up. She <br /> also stated that she would like the new shellfish constable <br /> involved. <br /> Mr. N]iddl e ton o'Nva l l ey-Iere a agreed to help. <br /> Selectman Terror asked town counsel if he would draw up something to <br /> be signed. <br /> 7:30 - Nor. Murphy polin ed:out'bhat the- Board � f-Ass es§ors-.were--asked to <br /> at tend-the riieeting to discuss the amount of money re s erred for <br /> overlay for fiscal 85 tax year. Mr, Murphy stated that after <br /> the completion of annual town meeting it was discovered they weren't <br /> spending the amount set aside. The question was asked whether they <br /> meed to reserve $2005000 or could they pull back. <br /> Mr. Clendenon speaking as chairman for the Board of Assessors and <br /> not for the Board stated that technically the Board of Assessors <br /> set overlay amount and does not see a great deal of opposition <br /> provided the State allows this to be dome. <br />
