Nor. Hicks requested a transfer.- of a vehicle to the Civil ]defense <br /> Department. The reco nendation of� Chief's Frere and Hartin was to <br /> keep this vehicle in an inter-agency pool -for the- three departments <br /> and have the police department .administrate the use of the- vehicle. . <br /> The Police Departvient would also be responsible for any repairs or <br /> service for the vehicle. <br /> The Board agreed with the recommendation of both chief's and asked. <br /> that a letter be sent to W. Hicks explain-ing there decision: <br /> 2, ) Mr. Murphy pointed out the letter from the Art's Lottery.Council. <br /> 1t was also felt that there is a meed for an Art's Lottery Council <br /> in Mashpee. <br /> . Selectmen Terror motioned to appoint Amelia Mosely as Administrative <br /> Clerk to the Elections`and egistrtions Board. Selectman Thomas <br /> seconded.. All were inn f aver. <br /> Town Counsel explained the outcome with regards to the Tiiing in Superior <br /> Court relative to Mr. Minnerella and r. -Mazzelli. <br /> Mr. Reardon pointed out .that both parties were informed they must file <br /> with the Board of Appeals. Town counsel -has 30 days- to file a complete <br /> order at which time this matter shall be scheduled for trial. <br /> Mr. Reardon also explained to the Board that he--met with- the- Board of <br /> Health and Mr. Hennigan. They went to Iashpee -Rivear to observe the <br /> site and discovered that the Trustees ofc- Reservations blood the road <br /> but vehicles are just going around- the -gate. Also found there was active <br /> dumping of materials and substance. He went on to point out the- Board <br /> of Health authorized Mr. Hennigan to-contract with a laboratory-,to test <br /> the water. The fee to do so is $5,00& ' 6,000, The chairman of the <br /> Finance Committee feels- maybe this- money should be taken Brom legal <br /> and engineering. Board of Health is looking for approval to take this <br /> money from said -aecouint. <br /> Selectman Terror moved to approve the expenditure of..$ ,Doo from legal <br /> and engineering. Selectman Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Selectman Terry .asked that something be dome to -block the area being <br /> used for access. He also asked that police check the area periodically. <br /> HEARINGS INS AIS APPOINTMENTS <br /> oo - Council on Aging along with Mr. Kerney and Ms. vikor r from'Bourne <br /> were in to discuss setting up an outreach program here in Mashpee. <br /> hMr. Kenney stated that Bourne would be happy to share there expertise <br /> and work with Dlashpee Council 'on Aging in setting up an outreach <br /> program <br />
