1 <br /> IP <br /> IF <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> *Mr, Sexton was in to speak with the Board about theacanc y that exists on the <br /> Board of Appeals associate member. There are four vacancies for associate. <br /> members. Mr. 'Sexto is a registered Geophysicist as well as a registered Geologist. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Me. Sexton as an associate member to the Board of <br /> Appeals. Selectman 'ferry seconded. All were in favor. <br /> W. Charles Hicks, Civil Def nse Director submitted a letter designating the Mashpee <br /> Police Station as Emergency operation Center. Mr. Hicks presented a drawing- showing <br /> the proposed -use of- the space. <br /> Selectmen gage their approval for W. Hicks to proceed. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Selectmen received a letter from Briarood Association expressing their appreciation <br /> for Hoopple Road. Nor. Murphy pointed out the Highway Department was seat a copy. <br /> i <br /> Selectmen received a letter from Gape God Planning and Economic Development Commission <br /> along with a proposal and offer from Energy Answers Corporation. <br /> Mr. nirphy felt it would be helpful if the Board of Selectmen and Board. of Health <br /> met to discuss this proposal, <br /> Selectman Hanson asked the status pf the old ' wn Hall. <br /> W. Murphy pointed out that Chief Hartin is preparing a proposal for self disposal. <br /> Selectman Thorns brought to the Boards attention that Mr. Herb Shenker'and Dave <br /> Hardy were recommended to scare on the Otis-Task Force. The Attorney General's <br /> office would like one or more Selectman to sit on the task force, <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Selectman Terry raved to appoint John Fortin as Recreation Aide. Selectman Thomas <br /> seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Selectman Terry moved to appoint Nnie Nickerson to the Parks and- Recreation <br /> Advisory Commi ;ttee-., Se let tnnan Thomas seconded.° : All,,-were in favor:. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Selectman Hanson asked if the Board had received any response from the March of <br /> Dimes. <br /> No response has been received as yet. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Selectman Thomas pointed out that five individuals have asked to be appointed to the <br /> Historic ConmissionO As of right now four vacancies exist, Selectman 'Lomas <br />
