x <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 17., 1984 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Manson, Terry and Thomas, Executive Secretary, Joseph <br /> Murphy and Town Counsel , Joseph Reardon <br /> GUESTS: Chief Frye, Mrs, Hanson, Arlene Hoxie, Sergeant Ethier and his <br /> family, and Vernon Thomas <br /> Selectman thomas roved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of <br /> October 24, 1984. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7:00 - Selectmen held a hearing to allow the manager of the Channel Club <br /> d/b/a Club 55 to show cause why the all-alcoholic beverage license <br /> of the Club should not be revoked. <br /> The Board received a letter from the attorney in bankruptcy for the <br /> club stating that he would not oppose any decision made by the Board. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out that the manager of record had been notified <br /> but the Board had not received any response. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to revoke the all-alcoholic beverage license <br /> of the Channel club d/b/a Club 55. Selectman Hanson seconded, <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 7:05 - A small ceremony was held for officer Ethier who was promoted to <br /> Sergeant. , {, <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. The Board received a modification of Section 5.5 of the zoning by-law. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out the original change had been advertised and <br /> scheduled for a public hearing on November 21 , 1984. It was suggested <br /> the Selectmen meet with the Planning Board to discuss the new proposal . <br /> 2. Selectman Thomas pointed out that after sitting in on the interviews <br /> for the natural resources officer there was a problem with implementing <br /> the new job description and it was recommended a new job description <br /> be revamped and readvertised. <br /> The Personnel Burd will revise the job description and submit it to <br /> the Selectmen for approval . <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7: 15 - The Board interviewed the top three candidates for the full-time <br /> public safety dispatcher position. <br /> The Board voted to take this under advisement until next week so <br /> they may discuss this further. <br /> Luer, the Board voted to appoint Gail McDonald as full-time public <br /> safety officer as well as appointing Anne-Marie Peters as part-time <br /> public safety officer. <br />
