OLD BUSINESS <br /> . The Personnel Board notified the Selectmen that they did not see the <br /> need to interview until the position of Deputy Chief has been funded. <br /> Selectman Hanson explained to Mrs. Gilligan a representative of the <br /> Y <br /> Personnel Board that the Selectmen would like to expedite ratters as <br /> soon as possible so when the position is funded the a0plication process <br /> would be done. <br /> Chief Frye objected to the written exam part of the process due to the <br /> lack of funds and time as Moth applicants have passed a written exam <br /> previously. <br /> It was suggested the Chairman of the Personnel Board be contacted for <br /> his input. <br /> 4. Mr. Hollander updated the Board on the fertilization of the Popponesset <br /> Spit. <br /> Mr. Murphy was asked to prepare a letter of thank you to Mr. Hollander. <br /> . Selectman Thomas moved to accept the recommendations of the municipal <br /> study regarding Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Selectman Terry seconded. <br /> All were in favor. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Selectmen voted with deep regret to accept the letter of resignation from <br /> Muriel- McGrath. <br /> Mr. Murphy will prepare a letter from the Board to Muriel. <br /> . The Board received a letter from the Ahumet-John' s Pond Association. <br /> The Board asked that the Planner look at the recommendations of the <br /> Association. <br /> Mr. Murphy was directed to send any copies dealing with Appeals, Planning <br /> or zoning be sent to the Town Planner. <br /> - <br /> 3. Selectman Terry moved to adopt the regulations as submitted for snow <br /> and ice removal . Selectman Thomas seconded, All were in favor. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> 8:00 - Selectmen held a hearing for a dog complaint against Caroline Legert. <br /> The complaint stated that Mrs. Legert ' s dog had not been innauculated <br /> for rabies, <br /> Mr. Murphy explained. to the Board that after receiving notice of the <br /> complaint Mrs. Legert had the dog inn uculated and submitted proof of <br /> arse. <br />
