MINUTES <br /> SELECTMEN <br /> BOARD OF <br /> WEDNESDAY, MBE 14, 1984 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Hanson, Thomas and Terry, Executive Secretary , Joseph F. <br /> Murphy and Town Counsel , Joseph J. Reardon <br /> GUESTS: Mr. and Mrs. Rocha, .dames Altick, Delores Dong and Monica McNally <br /> I _ <br /> Slectten Hanson convened the meeting at 7 p.m. <br /> Selectmen Terry moved to approve the minutes of October 24 Executive. Session. <br /> Selectman Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> APPOINTMENT HEARINGS <br /> :o — Mr. Rocha filed a complaint against Terry Gardner claiming his dogs came <br /> into his yard at 6: 15 a.m. on November 5, 1984 and bit his dog which was tied <br /> up. He explained that the dog had to be pint to sleep so the wounds could be <br /> cleaned and stitched, <br /> Mr. Wayne Fredericks was present to explain that he actually5owns the dogs and <br /> that. hsi room mate let the dogs go that morning. He also pointed out that he <br /> would keep the dogs restrained and would rake restitution to Mr. Rocha for the <br /> bills incurred. <br /> Mr. Murphy will send a letter to Mr. Fredericks with reference to restitution. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Selectmen received communication from PBA asking support to keep the landing <br /> fees from being raised. <br /> 2. Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Lisa Wit us as a Board Secretary.. Selectman <br /> I <br /> Terry seconded. All were in favor. <br /> . Selectman Thomas asked for the thoughts of the School Committee with reagrd <br /> to the Education Reform Package. <br /> 4. Selectmen were asked to gather information regarding salting of roads and <br /> send the information to Truro. <br /> Mr. Murphy was asked to contact Chief Frye and Ernie Virgilio to ask thea for <br /> their input on this ratter. <br /> . Mr. James Allick expressed an interest with becoming an alternate to the Board <br /> of Appeals. <br /> After several questions Selectmen asked Mr. Allick to sit with the Board before <br /> ars appointment' was made. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out he will contact the Board of Appeals and let them know <br /> that Mr. Allick will be attending their next meeting. <br />
