i <br /> i I <br /> Page <br /> Appointments and Hearings continued: <br /> Mr. Marsters said that this is a way of getting a new by-pass road. <br /> He said the Planning Board is- in favor in general and he feels that <br /> the road should be taken over when- .it is completed-. <br /> el. Hanson said that he would like a regular traffic light at the <br /> new entrance on Route 151 with a possible three way red light when <br /> ambulance or police or fire vehicles have to go out. Nor. Murphy <br /> said the mechanism is there, <br /> Mrs. B. Jean Thomas asked to be recognized by the Chairman. <br /> Mrs. 'somas asked Mr. Chace if Field' s Point owned the property on <br /> the other side of Job Fishing' s Road to whiting Road. Mr. Chace <br /> said that they did not. <br /> Mr. Marsters said that the Planning load had looked at that but <br /> this would be. a long- time in coming. He state that the town <br /> article should be put in .for the town to abandon the road and <br /> accept the new configuration. He said than the town would take <br /> over the new road. <br /> Board asked when Fields Point plans to start on the road. Mr. <br /> Chace said as soon as possible. He would like it to be a con- <br /> tinuation of on going work that is being done at the shopping <br /> center right now, <br /> Town Counsel explained that the zoning article would 'have to <br /> be seperate and that the Planning Board would meed a hearing <br /> on this matter. Discussion continued on the legalities , <br /> Board concurred that the possibility existed that this could be <br /> inserted in the February special town meeting. Mr. Murphy asked <br /> if the Board_ was interested in pursuing this for the special turn <br /> meeting. Board replied that they were. Mr. Murphy- asked if he <br /> had the Board' s approval to work with Mr. Chace to prepare the <br /> application for the Planning Board' s hearing. Board approved. <br /> Board thanked Mr-. Chace for coming, <br /> Mr. Delory had arrived late and asked about abandoning a road. <br /> el. Hanson explained that we would abandoned Job Fishing Road <br /> and take over the new road. <br /> Old business continued: <br /> 2 , ) Ch.m, Garland reconvened the tax classification hearing that had <br /> been deferred until the Assessors got the necessary figures from <br /> McGee and Mane. Mr. Murphy explained that we will have to do <br /> this every year now. Mr. Murphy turned the matter over to Mr, <br /> Robert Delory, Assessor. Mr. Del6ry said this hearing has to do <br /> with the residential factor and it has always been 1 . This hearing <br /> is to determine whether the town wishes to change the factor. <br /> Mrs. Thomas asked if there wire any tax incentives for businesses <br />
