Mr. Murphy explained that <br /> this would be no different than the MMA Clerical Study. Chm. Garland <br /> said ' it is a good idea. Sel. Terry- asked about the funding. Mr-. <br /> Murphy said that at this time he Would say less than $10, 000 . Mr. <br /> Murphy said it- should be alot less than $10 ,, 000 if you shop around. <br /> The town can get a good reasonable consultant if you shop around. <br /> s el.. Hanson on the- ground work'. <br /> Appointments and hearings continued: <br /> 7: 00 p.m. -- The joint meeting was scheduled with the selectmen, <br /> Finance Committee and th' <br /> Capital. Program Committee at <br /> this time and- Mr. Murphy, the Executive Secretaryr re- <br /> linquished the (floor to Mr. John Ferguson, chairman <br /> of the Capital P ro g r ani Committee. <br /> Both the Finance Committee members and the Capital Program <br /> Committee members - were present. <br /> Mr. Ferguson, Chairman of -the Capital Program,, explained <br /> that their duty was to look at expenditures of over <br /> $10, 000 that should be projected over a three year <br /> period. He than proceeded to dive the Selectmen and <br /> the Finance Committee a report of a- six year proposals <br /> for Capital Expenditures. (report attached,, to original <br /> minutes) . <br /> He stated that the capital Program Committee had put the <br /> new public works building a the first priority. He said <br /> khat even the Library Committee agreed that this be put <br /> as the top priority. Mr. Ferguson listed all the other <br /> requests that his Committee had received and how the <br /> monies had been distributed. over- a six year period. <br /> Mr. Roddy from the Finance Committee said that he felt <br /> the landfill should be the town' s first concern. <br /> Mt. Ferguson explained that the Committee only took the <br /> recommendations of the Hoard of Health on this matter and <br /> they realize that the landfill may become a problem put <br /> monies are allocated for the engineering work and that <br /> it could tale gears before a -site or approval would be <br /> receired. <br /> Mr. Ferguson asked that these proposals. be presented to <br /> the townspeople with an explanation at the Town Meeting <br /> and be included in the warrant before the omnibus articlelp <br /> oad approved <br /> Mr. Ferguson said that he came to the Selectmen for an.,... <br />
