Mr. Murphy explained that a few weeks ago the Selectmen had asked <br /> Town Counsel to prepare articles relating to Great oak load,. The <br /> Board has received a letter from Attorney Meagher, -Attorney for <br /> Department of Environmental. Management including the article- that- <br /> the State -would like to be included in the annual town meeting. <br /> warrant. hr : Garland said that he had problems with this and <br /> asked Fawn Counsel his opinion. , Town Counsel replied that this <br /> did not include the easement that the State had promised when <br /> they had last met. He felt that this was creating Legal problems <br /> He stated that the State had promised an easement to the town. <br /> Mr. Reardon said even a deed that was given to the town, but <br /> nothing was received. <br /> Chm. Garland said that he feels this is part of the towns bargaining <br /> power and he wants the interest of the town to be safe. <br /> Chin. Garland also said that when he attended the South Cape' eatc <br /> State Park Advisory Committee meeting on Monday Mr, Kirsner had-'' <br /> requested that all nail that pertained- to that committee be sent,:. <br /> to his office in Boston. Mr. Kirsner had also requested that <br /> another meeting be held with- the State and Town Counsel and Mr. <br /> Rowley to see if these problems could be resolved. fir. Murphy - <br /> asked <br /> urphy ..asked Chin. Garland. what the meeting would resolve, Mrs. Thomas.- .'. <br /> said it would allow more people to be- present. Town Counsel said, <br /> that he would attend. He also stated that he had tried to read <br /> Attorney Meagher today to discuss this issue. <br /> Board returned to Appointments and Hearings : <br /> 7 :00 p.m. - Board met with representatives of SEMASS and Mr.. Charles <br /> Buckingham to discuss a waste plant and transport depots. <br /> Mr. George Toby gave a► synopsis of what it would cost the <br /> torn and how their organization worked. He stated that <br /> their plant would not be- operational until. 1987. He also <br /> answered questions from Mr. Buckingham who is the town' s <br /> representative on the Board of. Health. Ms. Tacky Warren <br /> the office manager left plans with the Selectmen. Board <br /> thanked them for coming. <br /> Nor. Murphy said that on the same- subject he would be doing <br /> to New Hampshire tomorrow to inspect two plants . <br /> Board returned to New Business <br /> . _ Board received an application from Mrs, Wasil for a license t <br /> operate their mini golf. Motion by Sed.. Hansom to accept the <br /> application and issue the license to Dick & Ellie' s to operate <br /> their mini golf. Seconded by Sel. Terry. Motion Carried* <br /> . Mr. Murphy said the town had received four bids on the beach concession <br />
