Board .reviewed with the Executive' Secretary the Cherry Sheets. <br /> Mr. Murphy said that the net increase for the town was $3, 420. <br /> However, the gross receipts and assessments have done up. Ghm. <br /> Garland Congratulated Mr. 11urphy -on his projection. <br /> 4 . On the letter. of resignation .regarding Mr. Peter Edgerly,. Mr. Murphy <br /> explained that he had been informed today that Mr. Edgerly was only <br /> resigning as vice-chairman of the school. Committee at this time and <br /> that he would be resigning from the School Committee next month. <br /> Board decided to do nothing on this matter. <br /> Chairman Garland said that he wished discuss an item- of interest. <br /> He stated that on February 29 , 1984 he had- given his resignation and <br /> which would of been effective as of May 11, 1984 . ubsequently on the <br /> advise of Town Counsel and Mrs . Labute` s efforts he had beeninformed <br /> that nomination papers could not be circulated until the effective cyte <br /> and it had never been his- intention to create an expense- for the. town <br /> by having a special election therefore -he read a statement - that he said <br /> he hoped would put this .issue to bed' once and for all . (Statement <br /> attached to original minutes. ) <br /> Motion by Sel. Hanson to adjourn. Seconded by Sel. Terry.
