Garland convened the Selectmen' s meeting at 7 : 00 p.m. <br /> Motion by Sel. Terry to approve the minutes of. the March 13 , 198 <br /> Administrative Meeting 'arid the minutes of.. the March 1 . 1984 Regular <br /> Meeting. Seconded by Sel. Manson., Motion Carried. - <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND- HEARINGS <br /> 7: 00 p.m. - Board held a public hearing on the application of, Mr. David <br /> Burton, for a- re tail package' goods store license for the <br /> sale of wine and beer. Executive secretary, Joseph Murphy <br /> read the public hearing notice and stated that all the <br /> necessary documents were in order. He than asked Mr. Burton <br /> for the return receipts 01 notices to abutters . Chm. Garland <br /> named all the abutters . . and stated that the record should show <br /> 'that all the abutters were notified. <br /> Nis. Fulham, Attorney representing Mr. Burton stated that <br /> Mr. Burton was the owner of two stores like the one 'he <br /> hopes to open at Deer crossing. one of t ' tores is in <br /> Barnstable and the other is in sterville'. <br /> y <br /> Nor. Burton gave some background on himself and said that he <br /> would like the wine and beer -license to compliment his gourmet. <br /> and cheese merchandise. He stated that he would ,esp ecially <br /> like. to have it- around the holidays. He said that the store <br /> would be opened from 9 : 00 -a.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. -arid that he .would <br /> be on the premises. <br /> c ry. Garland asked if Mr. Burton could give one reason why <br /> the license would serve -the public good. Mr. Burton replied <br /> that it is a personalized service and that. it is unique. <br /> Attorney Fulham said he would have a full compliment in the <br /> shop and it would bring- good cl.ientel as there is nothing quite <br /> like it in the area. Mr. Burton said- the floor plan shows <br /> how little space the beer and wine will take. <br /> el. Terry asked if the closing time was 9 : 00 p.m. Mr. -Burton <br /> replied that it was. Se-1. Terry asked if it was all retail.. <br /> Mr. Burton said yes that it was and that he was not requesting <br /> tables . <br /> sel. Hanson asked what building at Deer Crossing this store <br /> would be in. Mr. Burton said 'at the opposite end of Comolli ' s. <br /> sel# Hanson stated that it would be the closest store- to <br />
