Hansom said that he approved Nor. Marsters being . the Selectmen' s <br /> designee.' Sel . Terry- said he had ,no objections. Ch . Garland asked <br /> that the Adjutant General be notified. <br /> . On the. letter from Denise tinehart-Watson the Board accepted <br /> her resignation. with regret. <br /> 4 . ). Board reviewed the ar'ti'cles for the special town meeting . <br /> from the Conservation Commission, the Town Accountant and <br /> the Ovate rway-s Advisory- Commission and . app roved there -being <br /> on the warrant for that meeting. <br /> . on the articles petitioners, the Board denied therm for lack <br /> of valid registered voters signatures. <br /> hm. Garland reviewed some of the other. mail and asked why the <br /> taxpayers association were requesting the use of town half, on <br /> April 10, 1984 . Mr. Murphy said he did not grow why, but because <br /> it was not oh' a Noonday or Wednesday -when the town hall is open <br /> for meetings he would be charging them $35.00 fot custodial fees. <br /> hm, Garland commended Mr. Murphy and Mr. Virgilio on their meeting <br /> with Representative Cahir and District Public works representative <br /> on getting the speed limit reduced on Rte. 28. <br /> Chm. . Garland also recommended that the article on hotel/motel be <br /> done by the Board of Selectmen. He feels that it should originate <br /> from this office . Mr. Murphy said this will be an article for <br /> next Fall' s town meeting. <br /> hm. Garland said he would not be here on the 29th of March so therefore <br /> he could not -attend- the arbitration <br /> hm. Garland asked how much the cost to the town would be for the <br /> Transit Authority. Mr. Murphy said approximately $-11 to $12 ,000. . <br /> Chm. Garland refered to the letter of Mr. Thomas McNamara and said <br /> that he hoped he could be placed in some town service ` as he is good <br /> people, <br /> Mr. Vernon Thomas asked to be recognized. He asked about the speed <br /> limit on Rte. 151 . Mr. Murphy said they are aware and they are corning <br /> again. Mr. Murphy will be contacting -them and - trying to set a meeting <br /> up. <br /> Motion by Sel, Hanson and seconded- by Sel.
