Garland asked - the other Board members. <br /> All stated that they would give their support. Board thanked <br /> everyone for coming. <br /> 7 :30 p.m. - Chm. Garland convexed the continuation of the public h'easing <br /> n the transfer o license and on the addition Popponesset <br /> corporation on the Daniel Yacuzzo;-t,d/b/a. Marketplace and Raw <br /> Bar. New -plains -were submitted to the Board showing the <br /> seating and the access to the addition. <br /> ch . Garland asked if there -were any proponents or opponents. <br /> Mrs . Virginia Landry - stated that she would like to see the <br /> -.new area screened. Her concern is for . tie children. <br /> Executive Secretary read a letter In opposition of this <br /> new addition which stated that there 'is- enough traffic <br /> in that area during the Summer months. After more discussion <br /> chrn. Garland asked if there were any other proponents. <br /> Sel.' Terry said. that ' he would like to see the screen issue <br /> explored. <br /> Sel. Hanson abstained from speaking or voting- on this issue. <br /> Motion by Sel. Terry to give the license with the proviso <br /> that screening be put up in the area so that children and <br /> teenager cannot see people drinking. Seconded by chm. <br /> Garland. ;: This is a vote. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Board reviewed Wendy Dubin' s procedure 'for beach stickers and, <br /> after Sel. Terry said that she had spent alot of time on preparing: <br /> the procedure the Board 'appro-v d it. chin. Garland- asked that <br /> the language be .more explicit on num e-r ten. <br /> 2. Board asked the Executive Secretary- what- had happened on the ad <br /> for the moritorium. Mr. Murphy explained that the Planning Board <br /> Secretary assurne-d that this office. had seat the ad and as this <br /> office had not been asked the act -coil not get into the paper. Nor. <br /> Mur' <br /> P. <br /> assured everyone that there is sufficient time for a hearing <br /> P . <br /> before the annual town meeting. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Motion by Se.1. Danson to appoint Cheryl Hawver- to the Library <br /> Building Committee per the recommendation of -Mr. Shaughnessy. <br /> Seconded by Sel. Terry. Motion carried. <br /> 2. n the letter- from Lieutenant colonel McNamara relative to <br /> the "Hush House" being built on- Otis, Mr. Murphy explained that <br /> this is a building being constructed to prevent noise when they <br /> are testing the jets . It will be ver' important to those who <br /> live near- the base. The building should be completed in .dune of <br /> 5, <br /> l. <br />
