i <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTE <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> MONDAY, JANUARY 14 1985 <br /> PRESENT: Selectman Hanson, Selectman Thomas and Executive Secretary Joseph F. Murphy <br /> i <br /> GUESTS: Monica McNally <br /> Meeting was convened at 8:00 a.m. <br /> Selectmen reviewed the warrant of the special town meeting. The Board decided to <br /> change article 1 + from a $6,000 to a $1 ,500 request because this money will be <br /> used to convert the kitchen into an office for the Town Planner. <br /> In connection with zoning articles Lhe Board discussed the recommendations of the <br /> Town Planner and Town Counsel relative to the phrase or take any action relating <br /> thereto in using this phrase for some and snot for others, The Board accepted the <br /> recommendations of Lhe Planner and Counsel . <br /> i <br /> Selectmen reviewed each of the articles on the warrant. <br /> i <br /> It was pointed out that the individual departments that submitted articles would be <br /> asked to prepare explanations to be included in the warrant to be distributed at <br /> the town meeting. <br /> Selectmen asked the Town Planner to be prepared Lo speak on all zoning articles. <br /> It was decided by Selectmen to have the Burd co—sponsor with the Planner zoning <br /> articles he submitted. <br /> In business other than the warrant the Board discussed the Police Association <br /> grievance relative to Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The Executive Secretary explained to <br /> the Board that he felt the association was correct in filing the grievance in that <br /> he also felt the net impact of the change in Blue Cross was a reduction in benefits. <br /> Also discussed was the decision in connection with the grievance of Sergeant Bevacqua <br /> n his bidding for the 3- 11 shift. Selectmen agreed to forward to the Police Union <br /> a communication dated January 1 , 1985 drafted by the executive secretary in <br /> connection with this matter. <br /> Being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 a.m. <br />
