s• <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> I. Selectman received from the Personnel Board an'd Police Chief Frye recommendations <br /> for candidates for Police Officer Positions. Mr, Murphy asked if the Board <br /> would like to speak with Chief Frye regarding this ratter. Selectman Thomas <br /> stated that she had spoken to Chief Frye and he was comfortable with the <br /> recommendations made in his memo. Selectman Terry did ask to speak with Chief <br /> Frye as he had some questions. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to go into executive session to discuss confidential <br /> information received while doing background checks. Selectman Terry seconded. <br /> All were in favor, <br /> Selectman Thomas announced the regular session would reconvene. <br /> The regular session reconvened at 7: 57 p.m. <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> . Mr. Murphy advised the Board that Representative Cahir had called to let the <br /> Board know that the Governor' s Office has released new local aid figures and <br /> explained that Mashpee would be receiving an addiLional $28,756 for the fiscal <br /> year beginning July 1 . <br /> . Selectmen received an advisory letter from Senator Doane dealing with seasonal <br /> Package store licenses. Selectman Thomas pointed out that this was a topic of <br /> great discussion at th,e Barnstable County Selectman' s Association muting. <br /> 4. Selectmen received a petition from the Nauset Workshop/Inc. for submission of <br /> ars article for the annual town meeting. Selectmen agreed to include the article <br /> on the annual town meeting warrant provided it contianed at least 1.0 signatures <br /> of registered voters. <br /> . selectmen received a request from Mararette Ann Ryder for permission to move <br /> a structure from Cotuit to 139 Beechwood Drive, Mashpee, Ma. <br /> Selectman Terry asked that all parties i.nvoled ' attend the next scheduled meeting of <br /> .the Beard as he has several quesLi ns die would life answered, <br /> 6. Selectmen received a request to have Donald Hecht and Denise Carroll app6lnted <br /> to the Ma hpe ti`)s Goals and Priorities Committee.to represent the Citizens for <br /> Sensible Growth in Mashpee r.o..u . <br /> Selectman Thomas moved t.c appoint Donald Hecht as a member of the ad hoc Goals <br /> and Priorities Committee as well as appointing Denise Carroll as an alternate <br /> member of the Committee. Selectman Terry seconded. Motion carried. <br /> I <br /> Selectman Thomas also moved to appoint Denise Sullivan as an alternate of the <br /> South Cape Beach Civic Assoeiation. to serve on the Goals and Priorities Committee. <br /> Selectman Terry seconded.
