The Personnel Board asked the Selectmen for a waiver of a pro-employment physical <br /> of a part-time clerk who will work in the Treasurer/Tax CbIlector office.. This <br /> request is due Lo the fact that a phyical costs D and this part-time person <br /> would be earning approximatly . 10avek. <br /> Selectmen feels it is necessary for this person to have a physical but felt. the <br /> Town should pay for this physical . <br /> 8. New Seabury Restaurant requested an extension from February 7, 1985 to March 7, <br /> 1985, This extension would allow the restaurant to remain closed to complete th.e <br /> necessary maintenance. <br /> 9. Energy Answerg AnswerCorporation advised the Town of the status ars a proposal to build <br /> a plant. Mr. Murphy also suggested that a representative be appointed to serve <br /> on the Council of SEMASS Communities'. <br /> Selectman Terry asked that the Board of Health be asked to submit a nominee for the <br /> Council . <br /> . Selectmen received a letter of resignation from B. Jean Thomas from the Conservation <br /> Commission. Selectman Terry deferred this matter until Selectman Danson returned <br /> next week. <br /> 11. The Shellfish Garden submitted an article for a reseeding program. Mr. O'Malley-Keyes <br /> will discuss his plans further when he meets with Selectmen on February 19, 1985. <br /> The Town Clerk submitted an article to create a new position for a permanent part- <br /> time clerk in her office. This position will allow the office to be staffed all <br /> day. <br /> Both articles were for submission on the annual town meeting warrant, <br /> 12. The Town received notification from the Cape Cod Conservation District that the <br /> grant for open space planning had been awarded_ to the Town of Mahpee. Tom <br /> Fudala had submitted the application. <br /> Selectman Thomas announced that the Ma tepee River will continue to be closed fro another <br /> thirty days. <br /> Selectman received a request from Field' s Point asking that the Board consider appointing <br /> Mr. Jack Larson to the ad hoe Water Supply Committee. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Mr. Jack Larson as ars ex officio member to the ad hoe <br /> Vater Supply Committee. Selectman Terry seconded. All were in favor. <br />
