s <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 1985 <br /> Present: Selectman Thomas, Selectman Terry and Attorney, Leslie-Ann Morse <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to approve the minutes of the March 13th regular meeting. <br /> Appointments & Hearings <br /> 7;00 Selectmen were scheduled to re-open the hearing of Richard Kuusela for an <br /> acquaculture permit. . It was requesters by Mr. Kuusela to continue this <br /> hearing until next Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to continue this hearing until next Wednesday, at <br /> 7:30 p.m. Selectman- Terry seconded. All were in- favor. <br /> 7:05 - Selectmen met with the Mousing Authority. Priscilla Ham, chairman of the <br /> Housing Authority informed the Board that it was decided to nominate <br /> Patricia Green to fill the position vacated by Frank Home er. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Patricia Green to the Housing Authority for a <br /> tern to expire May 11, 1385. Selectmen Terry seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Selectmen were also brought up to date as to the status of the Housing for the <br /> Elderly. <br /> 7: 10 - Mr. Virgilio was in to discuss his proposal for c4eaning up the site at the <br /> Old Town Mall . Mr. Virgilio explained he would life to remove the vault-, <br /> block any access to the rear foundation, grace loam and seed as well as <br /> create a single entrance to- the ballfields the cost for this would be <br /> $2750. Mr. Virgilio pointed out this should come from the demolition account <br /> and stated that the building inspector agreed if the Selectmen gave th-eir <br /> okay. <br /> Selectman Thomas and Selectman' Terry gave Mr. Virgilio the go ahead and <br /> felt there would not be a problem. <br /> Mr. Virgilio also asked for the Boards permission to dismantle and remove the <br /> metal tanks at the old Highway Garage site, remove wooden shanties and remove <br /> all debris as well as secure the block structure. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked about the possibility the building would be leased for <br /> an oil company. <br /> Mr. Virgilio stated he would work on getting all the parties together to discuss <br /> this further. <br /> Selectmen decided to put a hold on this matter until Mr. Virgilio could get <br /> back to them. <br /> Mr. Virgilio brought to the Board' s attention for thei signatures the Chapter <br /> o project for Central Road. Selectmen were advised of Mr. Virgilio' s plans. <br /> Selectman Thous moved to approve the Chapter 90 Project for Central Road. <br /> .le tman Terry seconded. All were in favor. <br />
