Also presented <br /> was the information relating to the ballot questions. <br /> Selectman Hanson explained the problems with the budget which exceeds the revenue <br /> and asked that department heads consider withdrawing the articles not able to be <br /> funded or explain where they are going to get the funds. <br /> Selectman Thomas explained the two ballot questions. The first question would exempt <br /> old bond debt. The second question is the Fire Engine. Should these ballot questions <br /> not be successful the articles listed by the Finance Committee and Selectmen be <br /> indefinitely postponed. <br /> Mr. Buckingham asked if he understood correctly, all articles th t,,say out are articles <br /> the Selectmen feel should just not be in the warrant at this time. <br /> Department heads reed to take on the responsibility of the town' s finances and therefor <br /> if they recommend the article they should also recommend where the money is going to <br /> core from. <br /> Mr. Murphy reviewed what proposition 212. <br /> Selectman Manson went over the articles which would be pending approval the <br /> exclusion. <br /> Selectman Thomas pointed out the upgrading and re-classifications were curt in half . <br /> Dr. Petti 'pointed out the taxpayers did .me t and several questions were brought up <br /> and therefore would ask all departments to be available on April 30th to discuss <br /> what they want and the needs behind all of this. <br /> Dr. Nicholson questioned where the figure of $100,000 came from. <br /> Selectmen will lo'Ok into the figure. <br /> Pauline Delorey asked why the shellfish reseeding figure is $20,000 this year as last <br /> year was 2,000. <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that Mr. O'Malley—Keyes is 1ookIng for an extensive shellfish <br /> program which would .be a five year program with a state reimbursement of $5,000. <br /> Selectmen thanked the department heads for attending. <br /> Selectmen moved to go into executive session to discuss the acquisition of real estate <br /> by the Town.
