Selectmen were notified by the C6mmissioner of Public Works of a field evaluation <br /> to determine the benefits of installing eight inch wide edgelines on two-lane rural <br /> roads throughout the Commonwealth. one of the areas will be route . <br /> . Selectmen requested the Board Selectmen consider hiring a consultant to review <br /> all salaries of employees whose positions are classified under. the Town' 'Personnel <br /> Administration Plan. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked that the ;Personnel Board b notified in writing that there is <br /> not any- funds available but will be holding another special town meeting on May 20th <br /> and would include an article for this. <br /> Selectmen announced there would be another special town meeting held on May 20, 1985 <br /> with the deadline for articles being this Friday the 19th. <br /> 5, Chief Frye requested the Board of Selectmen consider authorizing the Personnel <br /> Burd to' begin procedures to fi11 the -vacancy in the police department created by <br /> the termination of Patrolman Aitchison. <br /> Selectmen agreed to notify the Personnel Burd to proceed with the hiring process- of <br /> a patrolman. <br /> . Selectmen received a request from the- Tribal Council- for the -use of .Pocknett field <br /> on July 6th and 7th for the annual Pow-wow. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out that this is, where it was held last year without any problems <br /> and the Recreation Director had no problems with allowing this. <br /> Selectman Terry mored to allow the use f Poc .nett field on ,duly 6th and 7th. Selectman <br /> Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Being no further business the Board took a brief recess Eo?)allow their next appointment to <br /> arrive. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked that Mr. Murphy forward the notice from the Falmouth Skeet Club <br /> to the Planning Board, Board of Appeals, Conservation Commission and Building Inspector. <br /> ointment Reagin <br /> 7:45 Selectmen met with Dr. Nicholson and the.- School Committeeto discuss their <br /> concerns of a Municipal Building aind Needs Committee. They want to know how this <br /> cor mi t t e e will function a s it is their concern that the school addition/new school <br /> will not have the;-� ttention it should. Dr. Nicholson explained that the State i <br /> going to be funding % of the co:;t and for this they want assurance this gets top <br /> priority. <br /> Selectmen assured Dr. Nicholson that the school would get top priority with the hope <br /> that individuals that serve on the building committee may want to stay on with the <br /> municipal building committee. <br /> Dr. Nicholson asked what type of appropriation was being asked for- to get the building <br /> committee going. He was told $15,000. <br /> 8:00 - Selectmen met with department heads to provide them with the updated financial <br />
