BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 1985 <br /> Present: Selectman Hanson, Selectman Thomas, Selectman Terry, Executive Secretary, <br /> Joseph Murphy <br /> ue Ls: Monica McNally, Douglas Boyd, Ernie Virgilio, end Mr. Friedman <br /> Mr. Virgilio requested permission to plant ten molly trees. Mr. Virgilio pointed <br /> out hemill be picking up from Barnstable tomorrow ten Holly trees five female and <br /> five rale. He also stated that he has ret with the Historic Commission and both <br /> parties 'agree on the proposed sites of planting. The proposed sites are as follows; <br /> Museum, Library, Cemetary, Senior Center. <br /> Selectmen gave Mr. Virgilio the okay to proceed. <br /> Selectman Hanson asked Mr. Virgilio to check on the flume at John' s Pond as there i <br /> not any water flowing for the herring. <br /> Selectmen asked Ernie to meet with the managers of the bog and see what could be done <br /> to reverse what is being done now. <br /> Selectmen discussed the possibility of putting up a money reward to stop the tampering <br /> that is going on with the flume. <br /> Selectmen met with Mr. Cliff Friedman from the Humane Society to discuss the f-act..., <br /> that a dog housed next to the Town Hall is being badly maltreated. Mr. Friedman <br /> asked the town to issue a warrant to the Humane Society allowing there to pick up <br /> this dog so he may be givein the necessary medical treatment as well as placed in <br /> a proper home. The Humane Society has the funds available to them to do this. <br /> Selectman Terry asked that the Police Department investigate and report back to the <br /> Selectmen for tomorr-or-.�s Selectmen' s meeting at which time the Board will take action. <br /> Mr. Friedman also pointed out that at this time the dog is not licensed, has not had <br /> necessary shots and does not have shelter. <br /> Being no further business Selectmen moved to go into execuitve session to discuss <br /> litigation pending against the town. <br /> The regular cess ion adjourned at 8:23 a.m. <br /> Respectfull submitted, <br /> ?,o,ycVe Mason <br /> Administrative Scrctary <br /> x <br /> c <br />
