Reardon. <br /> Guests: Charles Buckingham, Charles Lawrence, Doug Boyd, Monica McNally, Vernon <br /> 'Phomas, Richard Cook, Richard Kuuse la, Middleton O'Malley-Keyes, <br /> Selectman H. nson convened the meeting at p.m. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to approve the minutes of April 17th regular meeting and <br /> executive session. Selectman Terry seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Appointments & Hearings <br /> 7; 15 - Selectmen scheduled three hearings - Mr. Cook for an acquicultuMre permit and <br /> Mr. Kuu s e t a and Mr. Sullivan f o r permission to move their shellfish grant.. <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that the legal notice for the Kuuela and Sullivan <br /> hearings was defective. The notice must contain name and residence of <br /> petitioners, data and location with description. <br /> r. arion agrees with Mr. Murphy and feels should reschedule this hearing. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to postpone and re-advertise this hearing for May 1 , <br /> at 7 p.m. Selectman Terry seconded, All were in favor. <br /> The Board gage the opportunity to those who were there to ask any questions <br /> they might have. Mr. Marteiros questioned the placement of a boat ramp. <br /> Mr. O'Malley-Keyes explained that there is an area which most lends itself <br /> to a ramp which is 200 feet away from the grant area. <br /> Being no further comments Selectmen opened the hearing for Mr. Richard Cook <br /> to grow shl if ih in Ockway Bay opposite his grant area. Said request is <br /> for permission to float 12 rafts. <br /> Mr. O'Malley-Keyes asked if the reason for this was clue to the need for <br /> more water. <br /> Mr. O'Malley-Keyes stated he has no problems with this as long as the rafts <br /> are well marked. <br /> Mr. Cook explained the rafts would be 100 feet from the channel . The length <br /> of the permit would be from April 1 - December 1, 1985. <br /> Selectman Terry moved to grant the acquicullure,-permit to grow shellfish <br /> with the following provisions: 1 Public will be granted use and access <br /> of such waters and lams and such use be compatiblewith the acquaculture <br /> enterprise; The license expires on December 1 , 195; The petitioner <br /> agrees to move his rafts within a reasonable time if requested to do so <br /> by the Shellfish Constable: Appropriate markings be placed including <br /> floures ent buoys every 100 feet, according to the instruction of the <br /> Shellfish Cbnstable, and Rafts to be located as shown on the map dated <br /> March 28, 1985 as provided by Mr. Cook. <br />
