� 4 <br /> t <br /> a' <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> TUE DA 5 MAY 1 , 1985 <br /> Present: Selectman Hanson, Selectman ` cs, Selectman Terry and Executive Secretary, Joseph F. Murphy <br /> Guests: Mrs. Collins <br /> Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 8 a.m. <br /> Mrs. Collins from Temrock Kennels requstd time with the Board to discuss the increasing <br /> dog problems in Mashpee and how she is being asked to perform the duties of Dog officer <br /> in the absence of one in Mahpee. <br /> Selectman Thomas feels the position should be advertised and filled immediately. <br /> Mrs. Collins expalined she is being asked to take care of dead animals and all related <br /> clog problems and feels she does not have the time or any agreement to do this. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked to have all job.A s riptions and any other information relative <br /> to this ready by next Tuesday for action. She also stated a restraining order should <br /> be issued. Sho also requested that Mr. Virgilio be in t ucted to take care of. all <br /> dead animals that need to be disposed of . <br /> Selectmen tine SiLuation that now exists where 22- did not get oven-rl-dden. Mr. Murphy <br /> explained that you could vote all articles' in and in the fall go for another referendum <br /> but advises against this. He further stated the Board would be meeting with this Finance <br /> -Committee's-tonight to discuss this situation and suggested that all department heads be- <br /> there. <br /> Selectman Hanson informed the Board that it was time to reorganize. <br /> Selectman Thomas nominated Selectman Terry as chairman. Selectman Hanson seconded. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Selectman Terry moved to make Selectman Thomas vice-chairman. Selectman Hanson seconded. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to nominate Selectman Hanson as clerk. Selectman Terry seconded. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Chief Frye requested the Board to consider extending the probationary period for Gail <br /> MacDonald. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out the Board did not receive the request until after her probationary <br /> period and feels there is nothing the Board can coo. <br /> Selectmen asked Mr. Murphy to notify Chief Frye there2is nothing that can be done. <br /> Selectman Thomas advised the Board that at last might. South Cape Beach Advisory Committee <br /> meeting Mr. Koblinsky stated that the Selectmen were not fairly representing the <br /> Monom scoy Association relative to the transfer request of Kuusela and Sullivan. He <br /> further stated he is against this and will be attending the me ting tommorror right. <br /> Mr. Murphy informed the Board of action that is being taken by Sandra Peters before <br /> the State Labor Relations Commission. Mrs. Peters charges unfair representation of <br /> the union in which she was excluded from retroactive pay based on her not being employed <br />
