by the town at the time of settlement on March 6, 1984, Mr. Murphy informed the Board that relative to the grievances filed by Sheldon Hamblin and Richard Martini the position of the Town is it is- not arbitrable and the town has filed a court action to stay the arbitration. Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Thomas Fukdala as Town Planner for a three year period r tro-active to September. Selectman Hansom seconded. Motion carried. ' Vernice Polka was in to discuss with the Selectmen her concerns with the wages account of the Department of Public [forks. Selectmen felt Ernie Virgilio should be here for this, so the Board deferred this until Mr. Virgilio could arrive. Selectman Thomas advised the Board that Mr. Codlesky is concerned with the cut in his budget from $2,000 back. to $500. Mr. Murphy poin-ted out that the equipment is not much to pick from and therefor departments are not turning to surplus 'equipment . Selectman Hanson feels that all departments should make a Dish list for Mr. Godleski as well as drafting a letter to Mr. Godleski asking hire to stay on. ' The Board discussed with Vernice Polka and Ernie Virgilio the concerns raised by the Town Accountant as to the use of the wage account, foreman differential, issuance of purchase orders and chapter 90 projects. Selectman Manson requested a memo seat to the Attaquin Park Committee asking for their recommendations. i Mr. Murphy informed the Board that negotiations have been deferred until after they j meet with the Finance Committee. i i Chief Hartin requested an evaluation of his job performance.
