t* <br /> New Business <br /> 1 Selectman Thomas moved to approve a step increase for Joyce Mason effective <br /> July 1 , 1985, Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Selectman Hanson mored to reappoint Chief of Police, Curtis W. Frye for a <br /> three year term''effective July 1, 1985. Selectman Thomas seconded. All <br /> were in -favor. <br /> Selectmen were requested from Mr. Re to reappoint the Public Works Building <br /> Committee for an additional three months to allow the committee time to <br /> complete the project. <br /> Selectman Thomas roved to appoint Samuel C. Ike, Antonion Fior ntini, Chester <br /> A. Brown, Chester Sheets and john S. Wyllie. Selectman Hansom seconded. <br /> All were in favor. The term will expire September 30, 1985. <br /> 3 The Board received three letters of resignation from Paul Frazier, Alf T. <br /> ylander, III and Byron Eldridge all three have been given an advancement ' <br /> position With surrnd�.ng fire-departments. <br /> Selectmen recieved ars advisory from the Cape Cod gional 'transit Authority <br /> relative to a vehicle auction. selectmen directed Mr. Murphy to forward <br /> this to the Fcreaiton Director. <br /> Selectmen received a petition from several individuals regarding speeders <br /> and traffic signs on Mashpee Deck load past the entrance to Frog Pond dose. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out he has forwarded this to Ernie for his review. Mac. <br /> Virgilio explained he has placed a speed limit sign at this area in question. <br /> Selectmen received communication from SEMASS for there review. No action taken. <br /> 7 The Board reviewed a proposal from haulk Ambulance service. No action taken. <br /> Selectmen received three general order from the police department. Selectman <br /> Thomas moved to approve the three general orders subject to town counsel ' s <br /> review. Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> 9 Ernie Virgilio requested to close Hooppole Road on any given date during <br /> August 12 through August 16 for the purpose of applying a stone seal <br /> protective coating over new resurfacing. <br /> Selectman Hanson moved to give Ernie the flexibility to shut down Hooppole <br /> Road to a minimum to do ghat is necessary. Selectman Thomas seconded. <br /> 1l were in faovr. <br /> 10 Selectmen received a letter of interest from Kenneth Parolsi who would life <br /> Lo serve on the Shellfish Commission4. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Kenneth Parolski to the Shellfish Commission <br /> for a two year period. Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> 11 Selectman received a memo from the DPW Director asking for a response as to <br /> the best date for all parties to meet to discuss the Mashpee Town Memorial. <br /> Selectmen Informed Mr. Virgilio that August 1, 1985 would be the best night. <br />
