4 <br /> Selectman Hanson feels the funds should be in Wendy's budget to begin with so <br /> there is not any question as to what funds are available. He also stated <br /> the Town has a responsibility to the public to give them toilet facilities. <br /> Wendy was asked to get a figure to have a toilet-'. facility moved from one <br /> beach to another. <br /> Wendy also discussed with the Bard- the problem she is having with fishermen at <br /> i south Cape Beach. she stated that her staff has received several complaints <br /> regarding the dangerous situation brought about because of shore fishermen <br /> fishing in areas of the beach that are congested with swimmers and sunbathers. <br /> She asked if the Selectmen could make a ruling to limit fishing to the hours <br /> that the beach is not protected by lifeguards. <br /> Selectmen asked town counsel for a ruling on this matter. <br /> Wendy also notified the selectmen that she can no longer use her vehicle to <br /> check on the beaches daily. <br /> Selectman -Thomas asked if, there was any excess vehicles. she was told none. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked the policy of Town vehicles. <br /> Wendy will speak with Ray Martini to see if they can arrange a time during the <br /> day for her to use the truck for her beach checks. <br /> Mr. Jim Casey was in to see the Board relative to a c-omplaint about the Harbormaster. <br /> Mr. Casey explained that he has swam in the P opponesset spit for years and was <br /> never told until last week that he could not swim there. He pointed out that he <br /> felt this was not the jurisdiction of the Harbormaster and hoped something could <br /> be said to the Harbormaster. <br /> The Board of Appeals was in relative to not being able to have access to their <br /> files. The files are kept in the Inspections Department <br /> Selectmen were told that Patricia White was given a key from Mfr. Boyd but that Y <br /> the fey did not work. <br /> Selectmen directed Mr. Murphy to have a key mach for Mrs. Whig, <br /> Old Business <br /> 1 Selectmen were netifed by the selectmen' s office in Barnstable that they <br /> appointed Barbara P. swaebe as the town' s representative to the south <br /> Cape Beach Advisory Committee for a term of three years. <br /> Selectman Thomas will draft a letter of thanks to Bruce McHenry for his <br /> time served on this committee, <br /> Selectmen received a memo from the Personnel Board regarding a unanimous vote <br /> of the Board to include an article on the Fall special town meeting warrant <br /> regarding Hiring of New Personnel and Reclassification, <br /> 0 Selectman Thomas moved to include this article in the special town meeting <br /> warrant in December, selectman Hanson seconded.
