Old Business <br /> l electmen received a memo from the Executive Secretary regarding <br /> -L Glen._Rogers. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to accept the resignation of Glen Rogers <br /> effective March 27, 1985o Selectman Manson seconded. All were <br /> in favor. <br /> 2 The Selectmen received 'an amendment- to the Diagnostic/Feasibility <br /> Studer for Ashumet Pond. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to delete Falmouth Bank and Trust as <br /> depositor and add Massachusettts Municipal De osit r r Trust. <br /> Selectman Manson seconded. All voted in favor. The amendment <br /> was signed. <br /> New Business <br /> 1 Selectman Hanson made a motion to issue a permit to Poet' s Pub to <br /> sell- beer in cans and/or draft cups for the benefit of the l u emia <br /> foundation on August 4 in connection with the road race, selectman <br /> Thomas seconded. All voted in favor'. The selectmen agreed to <br /> waive the fee and the permit was signed. <br /> Hearin <br /> 822ointments <br /> �rr�dRiEY+M���rrr�h� <br /> 7:30 - Mr. roger Layton of Comm/Electric and - Chief .Frere carne in to <br /> discuss the elimination of some of the town' s street lighting <br /> to coincide with the $18,000 decrease in the budget, <br /> Mr. Layton explained the lights can' t just be turned off and <br /> left there. Due to a contract the town is still under, they <br /> have to be. removed at a cost of @ o per light. There would <br /> also be a charge to have them replaced at a later -date. <br /> The selectmen felt the townspeople weren' t aware of this and <br /> should be. They asked Chief Frere to continue his survey and <br /> have something for the December special town meeting. <br /> i <br /> Mr. Layton said if they do decide to take some lights down, <br /> they can post a notice stating, the street and pole location- <br /> and <br /> ocation-and people could pick up the cost themselves before it' s re- <br /> moved. <br /> e-moved. <br />' <br /> 7:45 - Mr, Doug--Storrs and Mr,, Buff Chase came in with a request-'.for <br /> the selectmen to .vote to request the Mass. Industrial 'Finance <br /> Authority to assume the role of an- authority in f inancing a <br /> project since Mashpee - has no active authority <br /> Selectman Hanson made a motion to approve the notion from <br /> Fields Point Corp. which states <br /> "Whereas, the Massachusetts Industrial Finance Agency <br /> ("MIFA") has received an inquiry from Fields Point Corp. <br /> the "Borrower") as sponsor of a project to be financed. <br /> by' MIFA and to consist of certain pollution control facil- <br /> ities (the "Project' ) to be located in the Town of Masho <br />
