r <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28, 1985 <br /> Present: Selectman Terry, Selectman Thomas, Selectman Hanson, and Executive <br /> Secretary, .Joseph F. Murphy <br /> Guests; Monica McNally-Hough, Anne Shaw, Ernest Virgilio, June Daley, Muriel <br /> McGrath, Dave Hall , Mrs. McDermott <br /> Selectman ferry convened the meeting of August 28, at 7 p.m. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to approve the minutes subject to the minutes of August 21 , <br /> 1985 being amended as she ddi not attend - the interviews of the candidates for the <br /> position of out-Reach Coordinator as was stated. Also, the agenda did not reflect <br /> that the minutes of August 20, 1985 were for an executive session not an admin- <br /> istrative meeting. Selectman Terry seconded, Motion carried. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7:00 - The Treasurer/Tax Collector, Anne Shaw was in to request permission from <br /> Selectman to enter into an agreement with the Cape Cod Bank & Trust Company <br /> to provide lock box services for the -collection of read estate and personal <br /> property taxes. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to accept the request of the Treasurer/Tax Collector. <br /> Selectman Ferry seconded. All were in favor. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Selectman received two calls from residents of Deerfield Road relative to the <br /> flooding condition of Deerfield Dead and the potential for problems if ' meone <br /> should need access to emergency vehicles. <br /> Mr. -Murphy pointed out he telt the Setectmen will bear from them at a future <br /> time. <br /> . Selectmen received a memo from the Executive Secretary relative to the Ashumet <br /> Pond Area Wells. It was suggested the Selectmen request a meeting with the <br /> Board of Health to look into the options available to the town. <br /> Mr. Murphy stated that since his writing the memo. the Board of Health has sent <br /> a memo inviting the Selectmen to attend a meeting on Wednesday, September 4 <br /> at 6:30 p.m. <br /> . Selectmen received a request from the Museum Aides asking for permission to <br /> set up a booth or table at the Country Fair being held at the New Seabury <br /> Shopping Center this week. <br /> Selectmen agreed but requested a 1-hist of all items being removed. <br /> +.
