i New Business (continued) . Selectmen received a request tf om Mr. Allick to renew his taxicab permit. Selectmen asked that Mr. Allick be contacted as it was stated that the public is having coif f iculty getting in touch with flim. It was suggested he be asked to attend a meeting so he could answer any questions the Board- had. . Mr. Buckingham sent a memo to the Board of Selectmen asking that the tonnage figure for SEMASS be revised to read 6500 per year. Mr. Murphy pointed out that Mr. leve Hall would try to make this meeting to discuss this with the Board as well as answer any questions. lie further stated that if Mr. Hall could not rake the meeting he would suggest he be asked to attend a Tuesday a.m. meeting. . The personnel Board seat a memo asking the Board consider appointing Richard Hardy, Shaun Martine or William Murphy to fill the Full—Time police Officers position. Selectmen also r-eceived the recommendation of the Chief of Police for this position as well as for the position vacated by the termination of Edward Fleury. Selectmen Thomas voted to appoint Richard Hardy and Shaun Martin pending psychological examination. Selectman Terry seconded. All. were in favor. . Selectmen received a request from Marg Duddy to serge on the School Building Committee. Selectman Thomas roved to appoint Mary M. Duddy to the School wilding Committee. Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor, 9. Selectmen received an article from the Animal Control Officer relative to 7-1 the Leashing or Restraint of Dogs. Selectman Thomas moved' to include the article in the December 2 special town meeting. Selectman Manson seconded. All were in favor, 10. Selectmen received a letter from the District Highway Engineer commending the Police Department and Fire Department for their quick and gaul-ified-response to an accident which occurred at the Mashpee Rotary. 11. The Board of Health had instead of submitting a supplementary budget requested a lump of money which would be d signated after the special town meeting. Mr. Murphy pointed out that this was brought to the Boards attention to allow plenty of time to notify the Board this cannot be done this way. 12. Selectmen received notification from the Department of Revenue relative to the increase in the Fiscal Year 1986 Cherry Shieet. This increase is the result of the efforts of the Assessor' s relative to South Cape Beach. APPOINTMENTS HEARINGS :19 — Mr. D. e Hall from Cape Cod Planning and Economic Development Commission was in to answer any questions the Board may have relative to the SEMASS contract.
