AL <br /> Selectman Thomas explained that the dounsel for the town has two questions one <br /> being the tonnage and the other being if the town did not appropriate the funds <br /> what would happen? <br /> Mr. Hall had prepared handouts showing how he had estimated the tonnage figures <br /> for each town he further explained the figure would be flexible for 2 years. <br /> Also discussed was the possibility of recycling. Mr. Hall explained that the <br /> contract was a legally binding document and if the town did not appropriate the <br /> money court action could be taken. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked the time frame for signing the contract. <br /> Mr. Hall informed the Board that the deadline was September loth. <br /> Selectmen asked that the Board of Health receive a copy of the charts submitted b <br /> Mr. Hall b-z--tore next Wedn ,day at which time the Selectmen will meet with then to <br /> discuss this, <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> : . June Daley the Animal ,Control officer -stopped by to answer any questions the <br /> Board may have relat-ive' to her article regarding -leashing and retraint, of dogs. <br /> Selectmen informed 'her that. they had voted to include' -the article to give the <br /> public the choice.. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7:49 - Nor. Virgilio had submitted a memo realtive to' Pr-ivate Association. Work. <br /> The -memo stated he cannot do .any mor Private Association contracted work, <br /> Mr:. Virgilio'apologized to the Board as he felt he jumped-the gun on this <br /> and stated°-h ----'Would meed with th-e-'-To n Accountant to work any problems. <br /> Mr. Virgilio also ubmi-tt-id to the-.Board was -a tinal design for -Lhe layout <br /> of the int rsecti n o.f c ntrral Road and Route 130. <br /> Selectmen Thomas mvoiad to approve t-he de -tgn provided -all,-.parties are in <br /> agreement, Selectman Hanson seconded., '11 were in favor, <br /> Mrs. McDermott, Nice President of the Santutt Pond Association was in to <br /> see what would be done as Mr. Virgilio had given a verbal agreemnt to do <br /> work in their area., and. she. would like -to know whdtk_ ftect�i)f.--any this <br /> would have this agreement. _ <br /> The Board told-her' they would let her know by the end of next week t-he <br /> outcome of this situation. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Police Chief Curtis W. Frye as Deeper of the <br /> Lockup.
