Appointments & Hearings (continued) The Shett( ish Commission asked that the Personnel Board advertise the position of parr-time shellfish constable and that the interviews by coordinated with the Shell— fish Commission. Also, that the Personnel be given a list of names of all individuals that have expressed -an interest in serving as shellfish constable. Selectmen asked that this be sent to Personnel Board for advertisement. 7:20 Elizabeth Petti re: Water Supply Elizabeth Petti asked the Hoard if any plans have been made for the Gown have their own water supply if so when and what . She also asked what would happen to those who may have tied in with the private water company, Selectman Thomas advised her that there will be funds requested at to special town meeting for a study to be done by SBA Consultants as well as boring of dells. She further stated that the private water company has the right to do what they are doing. New Business . . Personnel Board recommended to the Selectmen Mary Timpe as the part—tire administrative clerk for the police department . Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Mary Timpe as administrative clerk for the police department. Selectman Terry seconded. Motion carried. . Selucmen received a communication from Chief of Police Curtis Frye suggesting that Patrolman Peters be put on leave without loss of pay status 41— 111. ' until his retirement claim is processed by the Baxnstable County Retirement Board. Chief Frye who was in attendance stated that this ,recommendation was based upon an examination done by Dr. Fox for a hearing problem. Selectmen revei ed communication from the DPW Director regarding the former Salt Shed area. Old Business 1 * Selectmen received a letter of resignation from Barbara P. Swaebe, Barnstable-Is representative to the South Cape Beach Advisory Committee. electman' Thomas advised the Board that a copy of the letter has been forwarded t Barnstable for their consideration. . Selectmen were notified by the Department of marine Fisheries of the closing of Shoestring Bay to shellfishing.
