r i <br /> r <br /> r <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> minutes <br /> Wednesday, October lb, 1985 <br /> A2pointments. & Hearin (continued) <br /> a seperate article without a money figure for the December 2 special town meeting. <br /> He further explained that the department heads would work on their own proposal <br /> and studys <br /> Selectmen agreed to include the article, <br /> Selectmen. also agreed to include the two articles. from the Personnel Board, <br /> Selectmen asked that the-,?Personnel Board, Representatives from MMA and- Department <br /> Heads meet. Mr. Murphy- will try and- arrange a meeting 'for Monday, October 28th. <br /> Mr. Umina was in to see if the Burd had received ars opinion from Town Counsel <br /> relative to his request to- pave a portion of Mingo load. <br /> Ir. Murphy advised the Burd that Town Counsel i11 hive a response prior to the <br /> Board' s meeting of next Wednesday. <br /> The Town Planner asked the Board where the articles are for the Planning Board so <br /> they could arrange, to hold the hearings. Mr. Fud-ala was adivsed that they -were <br /> put in his mail box tod-ay. <br /> Old Business <br /> 1 The Town Accountant requested the ease of Cheryl Hawver receiving unempl yme- nt <br /> benefits be appealed as she is employed as a real estate gentt. . � <br /> Selectmen Thomas felt is was not a question for appeal but rather a question for <br /> review and the-refore requested a review 'of the ease. <br /> The Board voted to forward to the Planning Board the article -by petition for <br /> a moritoriukm with-a request to take the necessary -steps for a public hearing. <br /> Mr. Murphy advised the Burd that Town Counsel upon review' o f the article by <br /> petition by -owner , (Mr. Byrnes) has. found :hisarticle- to be defective. <br /> Selectmen asked that Mr. Byrne' s be notified that his article is defective but <br /> also let him know that town- counsel is riot the person to rewrite hi's article. <br /> Mr. Murphy stated there is a number of articles in which departments have not made <br /> any changes and this Friday is - the last possible date to do s . fir. Murphy asked.' <br /> is the Burd wants to include the articles relative- to parades' and carnivals and <br /> home occupations. <br /> Selectmen ask ed to pint both on the warrant. Also Selectmen agreed to include the <br /> article from the shellfish Commission* <br /> New Business <br /> l Selectman Thomas moved Lo appoint Jeremy Carter and D ris Hendricks to the <br /> Youth ommis ion' for a term of three years.
