e <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 1984 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Hanson, Terry and 'Phomas and Executive Secretary , Joseph <br /> Murphy <br /> GUESTS: Mr, James Allicl , Mr. Thibodeaux, Delores Kong, Monica McNally, Chief <br /> Frye and Ernie V.i rg i l i o <br /> Selectman Hanson convened the meeting at 3 p.m. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> :o — New England Telephone submitted a proposal for a driven road crossing <br /> at Old Mill Road. Everything being in order and no one in opposition <br /> Selectman Thomas roved to accept and approve the said proposal as <br /> submitted. Selectman Hanson seconded, Motion carried. <br /> OLD BUSINESS_ <br /> 1. Selectmen received a letter from McGregor and Associates dealing with <br /> pending litigation with the town. <br /> Mr. Murphy --suggested that the Board go into executive session if they <br /> wished to discuss this letter. <br /> The Board felt that the letter was self explanatory and there was no <br /> need for discussion. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. The Personnel Board submitted four nares to be appointed as part—time <br /> public safety dispatchers <br /> Chief Frye recommended the four be appointed to establish a pool dine to <br /> the problems in covering this position. <br /> Selectman Terry moved to appoint Edward Hubbard, Beverly Corley, Richard <br /> Hawes and Judith Bingle as part—time public safety dispatchers. Selectman <br /> Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> . Selectmen received a letter from the Mashpee Community School Executive <br /> Council advising the Board that it is in the process of revising its <br /> —laws by omitting the position of Recreation Department representative <br /> sitting on the council . <br /> Ms. Rubin asked that she not be included on the council . <br /> The Board felt it all parties agree that it would be fine. <br /> . The Board received communication from New Seabury Shopping Center requesting <br /> one of the Selectmen participate in the judging of holiday decorations o <br /> all businesses and offices. <br />
