Board of Selectmen <br /> minute <br /> Wednesday, November 6, 1985 <br /> page 3. <br /> Appointments & Hearings continued <br /> November 14, 1985. He will request that the public. Access Board look into the problem <br /> they are having with the Mate Landing. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb requested a letter of support to look into the management of the area. <br /> Selectmen asked that a letter of support be drafted for fir. Gottlieb and also in the <br /> letter should be a request of the Town taking over the management of the area. <br /> New Business <br /> 9Selectmen received a request of the Deputy Chief of Police to set up a public <br /> hearing relative to the Liquor License/Lasa Violation of the Wigwam m Motel . <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to schedule the hearing. Selectman Manson seconded. All <br /> were in favor. <br /> 1 The Board recieved general orders from the chief of Police for their acceptance. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to accept the general orders provided they are reviewed b <br /> town counsel . 'Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> 11 Selectmen were advised that SEMASS was having ground breaking ceremonies <br /> on Saturday and asked for a Selectmen to handle the shovel and one for the road <br /> race. Mr. Murphy was asked to attend. <br /> 1 Selectman Thomas moved to appoint. John F. Shea as special town counsel and <br /> a special municipal employee. Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to set a $5,000 limit for his services including any services <br /> of a consultant . Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> 1 Selectmen signed the warrants for the December 2, special town meetings. <br /> 14 Selectmen also reviewed communication from the Mashpee Permanent. Fire Fighters <br /> Association relative to a grievance filed in connection with a violation of Article <br /> XXIII, paragraph I. <br /> Selectmen after reviewing Chief Hartin' s letter voted to not respond to the grievance. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked counsel to review the language of the South Cape Beach proposal <br /> Lo see if the Town is limited to what they can do with the 10 acres. <br /> Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m. <br /> Respectfully- ubmitt d, <br /> 6,Joyce M.
