r <br /> ...s. <br /> .s- <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> minutes <br /> Wednesday, November 6, 19$5 <br /> Rage 2-- <br /> New Business (continued) <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to appoint Elizabeth Hostutler to the Mashpee Youth <br /> Commission for a term of two years. Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in <br /> favor. <br /> Selectmen were advised by Representative Cahir that a member of the Special <br /> Legislative Commission on Water Supply announces a public hearing on November 8, <br /> 1955 at the Bourne Town Mall at 1.0:00 a.m. <br /> Selectmen received a communication from the Conservation Commission relative <br /> to appointing Wilmont Morrow to the Commission. <br /> Selectman Terry advised the Board that no action can be taken as a vacancy does not <br /> exist. <br /> Selectmen received a memo Brom the DPW Director asking that a representative of <br /> one of the Town' s banks speak. to -the Selectmen and Finance Committee, the Fire <br /> Chief, Police Chief , and himself regarding municipal leasing programs. <br /> Mr. Virgilio also pointed in another memo that prior to bidding of municipal <br /> buildings, a service, for a fee, is given by the Dodge Report Company of New <br /> York. City. This service is a package of costs of any particular project. <br /> Selectmen asked Mr. Virgilio to gather more specific information. <br /> 7 Selectmen reviewed a memo from the Town Accountant relative to the Street Light <br /> Account. She adivsed that the account has insufficient funds to pay the next <br /> month bill . Mr. Murphy pointed out that he is asking for $18,000 more at the <br /> pe dal town meeting in December. <br /> Selectmen received a letter of resignation from Janice mills tro'm-. the abile- <br /> ision Advisory Committee. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to accept the letter of resignation. Selectman Hanson seconded. <br /> All were in favor. <br /> ointments & Hearings <br /> 7:30 Selectmen met with members of DEM, DPW Director and Counsel to discuss a problem <br /> they have encountered with laying out the _intersection of Great Oak Road, Great <br /> Neck road and R6dbrook Road. They pointed out they cannot proceed unless the problem <br /> is solved and they have gone through the bid ph'a' se. The problem is a discrepancy of <br /> - 8 feet on right of way. It is beleived that the property is owned by Mr. <br /> Depampha l i s. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to authorize Town Counsel , Mr. Rowley and Mr. Depamphali_s to <br /> meet and work out an agreement.- Selectman Hanson seconded. .... All were in favor. <br /> 7: - The Board ret with Andrew Gottlieb representing the A,ttaquin Park Committee <br /> relative to the State Landing at MashpeWakeby Fond, <br /> Mr. Gottlieb explained that he would like the Selectmen to authorize hire to speak <br /> for them or represent the town at the Public Access Board hearing on Thursday, <br />
