Murphy <br /> Guests: Vernon Thomas , Michael Ma una , Carol—Costa Crowell , Ernie Virgilio, <br /> Mfr. Thi.bodeau, Anthony F iorentini , Monica McNally—Hough, Mr. Deborey <br /> and Arthur lonely <br /> Selecman Thomas moved to accept the minutes of 'the November 27 Executive <br /> Session and November 27 Regular MeeLing. Selectman Manson seconded . All <br /> were in favor. <br /> ppoinmcnLs & Hearings <br /> 7;00 — Selectmen conducted a public hearing on the request of New England 'telephone <br /> to place 37 poles along old Barnst.able Road Co service the growth in this area. <br /> The DPW Director reported he was in favor of this request as he and Mr. Thibodeau <br /> agreed to place the poles as far away from the road as possible. <br /> Selectman Hanson asked why they are not placing the utilities ander ground. <br /> Mr. Virgilio advised the Board they would have to raise and appropriate money for <br /> town—owned roads to have underground cable. <br /> Selectman Manson moved to approve petition 85 -74 of New England Telephone for 37 <br /> poles on Old Barnstable Road. Selectman Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> 7: 1 — Selectmen met with members of the Board of Assessors so they could be <br /> brought up to date on the computers. <br /> Ir. Morely advised the Board he has had discussions with Ed ManLer in Falmouth <br /> and has a few reservations with applicability of Falmouth and Mashpee maintaining <br /> what exists. Mr. Morely would like to see Mashpee look at a few other systems. <br /> _ Selectmen would like to see a group demonstration. <br /> 7: 30 -- Mr. Eudala was in regarding a state grant application to look into affordaole <br /> housing. This application is a ,point effort as a result of a meeting held with <br /> the Cape Cod Planning Commission in response to Planning Boards looking into <br /> affordable housing. Mr. Fudala said because of the towns involved they can get <br /> $50,0 00 which does not require a match of - Lown funds. The application required <br /> the concurrence of - the Chief Executive Officer. Selectman Terry signed the <br /> application. <br /> Old Business <br /> 1 . SelecLmen received a bill from Michael R. Shay in the amount of $250. Selectmen <br /> asked that this be held as her. Shay is sending additional information needed r laLive <br /> to this bill . <br /> . The Historical Commission submitted t; o requests one being the use of the <br /> lunchroom on December 19 from 10:00 a.m. t 4:00 p.m. and the other is the use o <br /> the small brick—lined storage room in the office of the Town Planner. <br />
