The Board requested Mr, Virgilio submit an article by August 4 stating the type of equipment he ' s look±ng for and the estimated cost , The Board decided to issue a summary of estimated costs of all articles at their August 6 meeting. Their August 13 meeting will be devoted exclusively for review of all articles and acceptance of them for the warrant . The Finance Committee and all department heads will be invited to the August 13 meeting. 4) The Board received a letter from Michael, Ra.kutis regarding a drainage problem at the corner of 32 Brewster Road and Quinaquset Avenue . Mr. Virgilio submitted a recommendation that work be done o alleviate the problem and he estimated the cost at $675 . selectman Thomas roved that $67 .fie expended from the Emergency Repairs to Private Roads Account for work on 32 Brewster Road , Selectman Lawrence seconded and it was a unanimous vote . 6) The Board received -memo from the Personnel Board to fi11 the va.cancir of administrative secretary to the Town Planner, Selectman Lawrence said on the basis of the recommendation of the Planning Board he moves that Mary Cronin be appointed to fill the position, Selectman Thomas said she felt it was unfair to the person who has been temporarily filling the position but she seconded , It was unanimous vote . 7) The Board reviewed a memo from the Personnel Board regarding the hours and salary of the senior Center Director. They were requesting the hours be cut to 25 hours Teekly and the position start at Grade until a. needs assessment can be completed. Gertrude Cuthbert , a. member of the Council on Aging, asked that the Selectmen postpone thein decision until the Matter is brought before the entire Council on August The Board agreed to defer their, decision in order to give the Council an opportunity to give the Board their input . 9 The Board received -memo -from -the Animal Control Officer asking for approval from the Board to authorize her to be able to do special police details on her off—duty hours. ele t n Thomas so moved Selectman Lawrence seconded and it was a unanimous vote . WaterCommission 1 The Commissioners received a weekly report from Chairperson Thomas ,, ' 2 The Commissioners received a letter from Ashumet valley Briarwood WaterSupply Committee regarding easement . Chairperson Thomas felt they should sit with Town Counsel as questions have been asked that need to be answered. The other Commissioners agreed.
