Murphy <br /> Guests: Ernie Virgilio, Tony Fiorentini, Vernon Thomas, Elizabeth Pettl, <br /> .dames Brown, Paul Sandborg, Chester Ioblinsky •. <br /> Selectman Hanson convened the meeting at 7 p.m. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to accept the regular session and executive session minute <br /> of August 26 and August 27, 1986, Selectman Lawrence seconded. All were in <br /> favor. <br /> Appointments & Hearias . <br /> Selectmen were scheduled to meet with town counsel. <br /> This appointment was cancelled. <br /> Old Business <br /> 1 Selectman Laurence moved to appoint Anthony Fiorentini as the town's- <br /> representative to the 'Technical Environmental. Review Committee. Selectman <br /> Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> 2 Mr. Virgilio was in requesting approval to repair Wheeler Road- using funds <br /> other than that of the town. The cost would be $480. <br /> Mr. Sandborg stated he is prepared to pay his half of the cost which is <br /> $240. <br /> Selectman Hanson stated he had not heard from the President of the Briarwood <br /> Association (Barbara Sea) who would be paying for the other half. <br /> Selectman Lawrence roved to approve the repairs pending receipt of the <br /> funds. Selectman Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> New Business <br /> 1 Cape Cod Planning and Economic Development Commission requested the Board <br /> -designate a designee to work with the agency's staff to evaluate problem <br /> intersections. <br /> .Selectman Lawrence moved to designate Ernest Virgilio as the Board's <br /> designee. Selectman 'Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> The Board received communications from the Director of Public Works, <br /> Chief of police and Town Planner recommending old Barnstable -Road from <br /> Route 28 to Great Neck Road Forth be established as a one-way goad. <br /> Selectman Lawrence moved to amend Article v (orae-way streets) of the <br /> towns traffic rules and regulations by adding Section 1A old Barnstable <br /> Road, between Route 28 and Great Neck Road North, orae-way with traffic <br /> allowed in a Northwesterly direction. Selectman 'Thomas seconded, All <br /> were in favor. <br />
