Vote was unanimous. <br /> Continuance of Taxi Permit He �n <br /> The Board of Selectmen re-opened of the hearing of Peter James Van <br /> an an application for permit to awn and apeerate a taxi service in <br /> the Mashpee area. <br /> The Executive Secretary reminded the Board that the principals <br /> involved wanted to incorporate and that there were questions <br /> relative to the zoning. An opinion was received from the Building <br /> Inspector (Zoning Enforcement Officer) in a memo dated Oct * 3 that <br /> a taxi business can operate by special permit of the Board of <br /> Appeals. A copy of communication dated Sept . 25 from Attorney <br /> Charles abatt to the Secretary of State was received rel at i e to <br /> the filing for corporation papers which would amend the <br /> application toKing's Cab, Inc . <br /> The Executive Secretary suggested that the Chairman ask Mr . Van if <br /> he wished to change his application to King's Cab, Inc . Chairman <br /> Hanson motioned d to Mr . Van . her . Van replied "Yes" . <br /> 1 . Thomas roved to issue the permit underKing- Cab, Inc . <br /> pending the Board of Appeals decision . Selo Lawrence seconded. <br /> Vote was unanimous, The Executive Secretary advised Mr . Van that <br /> a letter would be issued from the Selectmen stating that a permit <br /> ill be issued based upon the issuance of a special permit from <br /> the Board of Appeals. <br /> Dr . r humet Pond Diagnostic/FeasibilitZ Study, <br /> Dr . Kerfoot appeared before the Selectmen an the Ashumet Pond <br /> Project which is a ,point project between the Town of Mashpee and <br /> the Town of Falmouth . Dr . I erfoat advised the Board that <br /> appropriations for continual funding had to be filed with the <br /> State . They filed for the Town of Falmouth for continual <br /> monitoring. Two aspects are in the process of discussion : 1 . on- <br /> going <br /> n- <br /> gaing monitoring for the present base sewage treatment plant <br /> discharge which is almost wholly on the Falmouth side and 2. <br /> continual monitoring and sediment samples an the northern end <br /> which i s on the Mashpee side , <br /> Dr. Kerfaat advised the Board that they are going before the <br /> 1ahpee and Falmouth Selectmen and will be meeting with Mike <br /> Curran next Tuesday. <br /> � _ <br />
