PERSONNEL BOARD 4 MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 14 , 1983 MAHPEE TOWN HALL The following members of the Personnel Board were present for tonight ' s meeting : Robert Sullivan, Chairman , David Hardy , Manuel Glickman and Carrie Saunders , Chairman Sullivan convened the meeting promptly at 6 :00 p.m . Role of Personnel Board Discussion was made on de in'ing the role of the Personnel Board more clearly specifically relating to the selection process . All Board mem- bers were in agreement that the Personnel. Board should rate candidates . Board Secretary Request Wendy Rubin met with the Board relative to her request for a BoardSec- retary for the At aquin Park Task Force 'and the Parks & Recreation Ad- visory Committee .' She said that she had no idea that she could ask for a Board secretary for {these committees until the Executive secretary told her to cont act . the Personnel Board. She explained that Arty Mosley, her regular day-tire secretary, was covering the Park and Recreation meetings and not being paid for her time and that the At atquin Park Task Force meetings were being taped. Wendy explained that Attaquin Park Task Force will only be meeting three more {times and that the- Park & Recreation Ad- visory Committee meets on the third Thursday of every month. she com- mented that Amy is interested in filling in for the meetings and getting laid the Board Secretary rate , Carrie said that she does not feel that Department Heads should come to the Personnel Board stating who they want for a secretary . Dave said that the Board would be creating a secretarial. pool ' and protocol would be to draw from it , Bob suggested that Any be assigned to cover the three remaining Attaquin, Park Task Force meetings and that she cover the Parks Recreation Advisory meeting on November 17 . He told Wendy that the Board will fill the position on the Parks & Recreation committee at a later date . Carrie commented that it is conceivable that Amy will be Board secretary for one Board and that someone else get the other, Minutes of November- Dave Hardy moved to accept the minutes of November 7 . Carrie Saunders seconded the motion : All were in favor . Senior Secretary-Interviews. The Personnel. Board interviewed six candidates for the position of Senior Secretary to.-..the Building Inspector as follows : Deborah Chepren , Debra iacedo , Robert Tallent , Priscilla Woods ,, Cheryl Hawver and Carol La and . Typing tests were administered prior to the interviews . Upon conclusion of the interviews ? the Board narrowed the selection process down to four finalists as follows : Cheryl. Haver , Debra Macedo , Deborah cheren and Priscilla Woods . Reference checks will be done prior to recommendations to the Selectmen,
