PERSONNEL BOAR <br /> 1 ASHP.CSE TOWN s L <br /> MEETING OF MAY 23_2 1983 <br /> 4 <br /> The fol lowing members of the Personnel hoard were present for tonight's meeting: Robert <br /> Sullivan, Chairman, Caroline Gilligan, Curtis Woodbury, David Hardy and Manuel Glickman. <br /> Gene Narr was also present during the meeting, <br /> Discussion of Town Physician <br /> The Board of Selectmen along with the Executive Secretary -met with the Personnel Board to <br /> discuss the possibility f looking into a new town -phriian for the town. Selectman <br /> Garland told the Board that he was not happy with the physical exams which Dr. Lewis i <br /> giving and that he would like. to see more complete reports, He recommended that the Per- <br /> sonnel Board look into what the Mid-C.ape Medical Center could offer stating that he had <br /> been in touch with Dr. Bremner, a physician from that office, as well as head of the emer- <br /> gency room at the Cape Cod Ho8pital. Set.,, Garland ommented that Dr. Bre mer is very fami- <br /> liar Ath the type of physical needed as employees from the. Barnstable Fire Department have <br /> been using this center. The lid.-Cape Medical center has in-house facilities for lab work <br /> and full examinations could be given in one visit. The rate quotted to Sel, Garland was <br /> from to $100 which would include a chest x-ray -and EKGO <br /> Selectman Garland also suggested Dr. l a.vin's office at the Hyannis Medical. Center and <br /> Dr. Lee's office in Falmouth be checked into as he thought they offered in-house facilities. <br /> He requested that a copy of the current examination form b sent to these centers for review <br /> and c ment. <br /> Chairman Sullivan said that he thought it sounded -good. Dave Hardy suggested getting bids <br /> from each doctor,, as well as checking references,. <br /> *he Executive Secretary pointed ,out that under the contract, the employees are not required <br /> to take -rays and,commented that the contract would .have to be rewritten to provide for <br /> the requirement. <br /> Chairman Sullivan told the Board of Selectmen. that- the :Personnel Board would follow up and <br /> check into the various medi <br />
